“Did you find what you were looking for? Yes and No. I wanted to look for some Kidz-n-Cats dolls then ended up with some other dolls. Did you find the website visually appealing? Yes. But if we can see whether which dolls are available "in stock" that would make it easier and more convenient. Was the checkout page easy to use? Super easy! Some more things to share: 1. The prices of the dolls are very reasonable to compare with some other websites (in London). 2. Good service and quick response. 3. This is the shipping fee from other website "Shipping of one doll to Australia would cost £18.00 and two dolls would be £27.00, three dolls would be £37.00". It would be GREAT if mydollbestfriend.co.uk offers this same fee. Thank you.”

What we do is just list dolls that are in stock and any that can be pre-ordered on our pre-order form. Out of stock products aren't visible - unless you can pre-order them. We take on board your shipping idea for advance pricing. We can do this. We offer several shipping services so to keep it simple we might just list our economy services. So pleased to read the checkout page was simple and you loved our prices compared to other websites. Thanks very much for your review! Maxine

Thanks for your feedback Anna. Please take another look at our shipping prices, which we've made explicit to help customers. We offer economy shipping and express courier: perhaps you are referring to our express courier, which is very competitive if you compare like for like, but of course is more expensive than economy, which typically takes longer to arrive. Here you will find shipping prices for economy and express courier for shipping a standard 45-50cm Gotz Precious Day or Happy Kidz doll to all the countries around the world that we ship to. “Nice range of products but it is frustrating to find shoes to fit dolls! Some items have delailed descriptions, measurements etc. Others are vague, mentioning only the doll they are made for and it is hard to work out if they would do for other dolls. I'm specifically wanting good quality traditional Mary Janes for the doll I purchased but am struggling to find any in the UK.”

“I was looking for a specific doll group. I didn't find it very easy to find what I wanted. It skips around. When you go to dolls they should all come up under each artist or company. Sometimes you find an artist you don't know & you can see what they are about. Sorry this was not the happy comment. Happy- finding the dolls that I wanted & they were available. I ended up ordering more dolls. the pictures & information by each doll was very good. I will definitely purchase more dolls in the future.”

Hi Jill, first thanks very much for your new order and for your comments. I'm sorry you didn't find what you wanted as easily as you'd have liked. If you click "Dolls" from the top navigation bar you get all the filters on the left, which includes Manufacturers and Artists. So if you know the artist you'll find the dolls there, or if you know the manufacturer you'll find the dolls there. If you know neither of these things the filters enable you to shop by doll type, or size, ethnicity, suitability age (for a child) etc. Another way to find what you want is simply to go to "Brands" in the top navigation bar. Please let me know if this makes it easier and do contact us if you still have some thoughts to share. Thanks very much again. Maxine

“I came to My Doll Best Friend because they are the only stockist of Maru and Friends' Jamie in the UK - according to Google. I chose free delivery as I wasn't in a great hurry, expecting it to take a week for the package to arrive, but received a dispatch confirmation within 24 hours, the package arrived within 4 days (on a Monday) so I'm very impressed with the service. My one small criticism is that another, well-respected online doll retailer, who I usually buy from, always wrap the doll box in extra tissue paper with a beautiful pink satin ribbon - a nice, caring touch which makes an expensive purchase feel that little bit extra special, and the transaction a little more personal. But all in all, I'm very pleased. The doll is exquisite. I'd love to have the whole Maru collection.”

“Goods arrived on time. The dress, the bobble hat, the socks and the knickers fit the doll. I'm not entirely sure about the boots, but the Happy Kidz doll has rounded feet, which may not have helped.”

“Friendly and helpful costumer service. Maxine was outstanding, patient, and quick to help with a couple issues that arose during the buying process. Shipping was fast, but the shipping box was very flimsy leaving it and the doll's box battered in transit. Luckily, the doll was in perfect shape despite the rough journey, so I am overall quite happy with my experience and will definitely be a repeat customer.”

“Minouche Olga, by Sylvia Natterer [613409] Olga is my third Minouche, and I feel she merits a longer-than-usual review because of all the extras that she comes with. Her price tag is considerably more than the other Minouches and potential purchasers will be asking themselves whether the various extras do really make it worthwhile paying the extra £30. First the doll herself: the Natterer Minouche quality is well-known, and this girl is well up to standard. A ginger-haired charmer with sage-green eyes, she’s a real Autumn girl and really needs the colours of that season to show her to best advantage. I was surprised to find that her striking head of hair was over-conditioned and felt greasy on arrival, but this was easily remedied by a careful wash in baby shampoo. I have no regrets whatsoever in acquiring this lovely doll who looks particularly pretty when redressed in Minouche Samira’s meet outfit – the green is an exact match for her eyes! Now her clothes: she comes with a cold-weather outfit of grey print dress, a winter-white jacket, hat and muff, tights, and grey ugg-style boots. Under these she wears the usual white body-suit. Her second outfit is for summer days, consisting of a cotton dress in a green, pink and red print with a shirred bodice and tie straps, some white panties, a pair of gorgeous pink shoes with white polka-dots, and a straw hat. All these garments are nicely made from quality fabrics, although personally I feel that autumn shades would suit Olga better. The only real disappointment is the straw hat which, frustratingly, is too small to fit on her head properly. Finally there’s the travelling box in which she is supplied. This is a very sturdy case in a turquoise and grey polka-dot finish. The two halves are held together with silver metal hinges and a silver clip fastening. Inside, wearing her grey dress, Olga travels in one half of the box, held securely in place with pink ribbons around her neck and ankles. The other half of the box holds her extra clothes, the jacket and muff on a neat little hanger that is suspended from a metal ring at the top, the other items slipped into a pink pouch at the bottom. It’s all quite well-thought-out and there is plenty of room for more items to be held here if she were to be going away for the weekend. Once packed in there with her various items of clothing, the case is clipped shut and the two pink cord handles at the top of the case allow her to be carried away safely in an upright position. So is all this worth the extra £30? It seems to me that £30 for an extra Natterer outfit, shoes, hat and a durable travelling case, is good value when compared with the usual retail price of a Natterer outfit at c. £25. The clothes fit other 13-14” dolls too. The hat, as I mentioned above, is the real disappointment. Why go to all the trouble of providing a pretty hat if it then doesn’t fit the doll it’s intended for? For this reason alone the set loses one star from its rating. Setting this aside, if you want a very attractive doll with two lovely outfits in a durable travelling case, then this is the set for you. And if you happen to have one of the Vestida de Azul Carlota dolls with a close-cut hairstyle, you’ll find the straw hat will fit them instead!”

“WeGirls Angel [LU005] A very attractive doll with rich chestnut-coloured hair, a warm smile and soft and squeezable vinyl body. This one's a bit out of the ordinary, and I'm sure little girls will love her for her wide smile and hands that reach out to you. Her clothing is of a good quality, and I recognise the shoes are by Sophia's. Feet are Gotz Hannah size, so larger than American Girl, and in fact she is quite similar in build to Hannah so no doubt they can share clothes.”

“My order was a pair of glasses for a doll, 3-4 inches x 1 and laid flat so could have fitted even being bubble wrapped inside a small envelope. They box they arrived in was too large to fit through my letterbox and as I was out when they were delivered I had to go to the post office to collect.”

We packaged your glasses in a Royal Mail large letter box which is designed to go through a standard letterbox, whilst providing adequate protection for the doll glasses in transit. “My daughter has been delighted with the doll and all the clothes we bought from My Doll best friend. The service has always been good, deliveries have arrived when they said they would and the telephone advice was helpful. The dolls clothes are expensive for what they are but always good quality. The website is well designed to help you work out which clothes and accessories will work for which doll.”
