I have bought parts from MX5parts over the years. I don’t normally fault them. For my most recent purchase, importing a radiator from UK to France, I have had a rotten time gauging the estimated delivery date which no person or app was able to provide accurately (MX5parts, their chosen logistics handlers, the postal services moving the parcel). I’m fairly sure it’s because of Brexit, there’s some delays because of new procedures. The packaging wasn’t the best, the top of the box was open on delivery, originally closed by large staples, without tape. Inside, the part was held in place with two thin polystyrene supports, no other protective wrapping. Thankfully there were no loose parts in the order.

Hi Lois - thanks for your feedback, unfortunately, post Brexit we continue to have issues with international delivery times and speed, something that we are constantly monitoring and working with our delivery partners on. On of the item the break handle is in fact not compatible with my car, which version is mx5 NC of 24/12/2010 version Euro5. The hol diamètre is too slall. Your item description is not precise enough.

I ordered a car part and £100.00 in gift vouchers for my husband's birthday. I had misunderstood the description of the vouchers and thought that there was an option to receive them electronically. I called to ask when this might happen after I placed the order online, and was advised this would be done via email on the next working day. This was incorrect information, and when I queried this it was denied this was ever said to me which left a bad taste and marred the gift as the package did not arrive in time for his birthday. Had I been given the correct information, I would have made arrangements to purchase another gift on the day. From the tone of the email I received, I guess the person thought I was trying to get 2 sets of vouchers, which was not the case at all.

To be frank my experience is mixed so far. I appreciate the fact that the products you sell are genuine mazda parts and not some copy imitation from a country I barely know. I also appreciate that the sales dept have sent me emails informing me, the items ordered have been dispatched. However, it would be hugely appreciated, if a tracking number was provided with the service. I'm aware that the parts are shipped by airmail (Royal Mail) and that it should take 5 - 7 days till delivery (8 days passed so far, and I don't have my items yet). I bought other parts from different establishments supplying MX5 parts, and they have provided me with a tracking number, so I know exactly where they are at the moment. Without this, I don't know whether the parts arrived in Malta (where I live) or not. Whilst I do hugely appreciate that you supplied genuine parts and that I had the opportunity to buy items from your business, I would highly appreciate if a tracking number was provided. That way I wouldn't worry whether my items are ok, or lost or whatever.

Hi Mark Your order left our warehouse on the 1st March via a Royal Mail service. Unfortunately, this is an untracked service therefore we are unable to give you any tracking details for this particular order. On the whole it was a good experience, apart from the delivery, they left my order with a neighbour, no card , I had no clout had been delivered until I rang up to ask where my order was .

Hi - we sorry that you have been faced with a customs fee of €56, whilst we appreciate this is unfortunately a high charge, all customs fees are out of our control and charged by the destination country not ourselves. Obviously, we don't charge VAT on the products on orders to France. We do of course hope we can continue to be of service in the future. Thank you

Made a £315 order, most of it was sent apart from the FL22 coolant which was waiting to arrive because it was on backorder. . However I accidentally ordered one 5L canister instead of two FL22 5L canisters. I rang to pay for another 5L canister to be sent with the one that was going to be shipped. But I was told I had to pay an extra £9.50 to ship the coolant because it's a new order... Although it was their right to respond as they did, I didn't appreciate it and I guess I will wait ordering a second canister for when I make a new order with some other bits and bobs...

I ordered a part that was £400, it never said out of stock, I believe it should never of been on the site I've been told it might be in next container end of February but no guarantee I thought delivery would be free too when spending over £400

Good parts and service, including on the phone, however it's a real problem that express delivery isn't offered as an option. I discovered some unexpected parts were needed during repair, and couldn't get them all from mx5parts (out of stock). The part I ordered from another vendor, sent via guaranteed 24hr delivery, arrived the following day so 2 days before Christmas. The parts from mx5parts - ordered at the same time (1pm so dispatched the same day, but sent 1st class post only) took over a week, and didn't arrive till after the christmas break. In the meantime my car has been stuck on a ramp. 1st class is normally much faster than this, but the point is that its delivery speed is not guaranteed. This is sometimes an issue.

Fairly responsive team, if needed something they try to help. IMHO errors in the labelling of products in backorder. You shouldn't write "usually despatched in 3 to 5 days" in the availabilty label if you know for a fact that you'll never be able to fulfil the delivery in a decent time. Proof? I ordered my part on 29/11. It is 10/12 and it still is "waiting for stock". So I can't answer the questions below...

MX5parts forget to do the 10% down on the final bill during the special week. I'm sorry because the good is ok, the delivery too. I hope that MX5parts will correct this mistake soon.

2nd update - Hi Guy we have looked into this and the headlight that you ordered was already on offer with a 25% discount before the 10% Black Friday offer started which is why it wasn't discounted further.
