This company i my opinion, finds faults which are not true (after providing evidence which sugests there was no fault). Also, their emails seem to go into spam and if you dont respond within 4 days they will not return your item! I feel truely unhappy with my experience! I will never use this service again. BEWARE!

This company is just TERRIBLE to get in touch with. Granted, they are pretty cheap, and if all goes well, you will be quite happy...But if something wrong then forget it. I bought five items from them on ebay. 2 were as advertised, 1 was a completely different version, and two flat-out didn't work. The state of one of the disks was a disgrace, with several large scratches clearly visible. Emailed = no reply, emailed again = no reply, ebay messaged = no reply, phoned = stuck on hold...for ten minutes...no reply. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. I sell on ebay sometimes, and if I acted in this way, I would rightly suffer for it. They sell 100,00+ items a month so the bad feedback just fades into the background, but if you look you will see the same thing - Terrible, terrible customer service if anything goes wrong. I have now learned my lesson. Disregard MM items from your searches because no matter how cheap they are, they are not worth the hassle if something goes wrong.

OMG I wish I had read these reviews before sending my books/DVDs to MusicMagpie. The first 'flagup' was a couple (Man/Women) I saw collected my 2 boxes from my porchway in a small silver ford fiesta/VW type car...and i thought 'that doesnt look like DHL or a proper courier service? I was going to go out and speak with them, but changed my mind! sorry I did now. Anyway, my 2 boxes (only small amounts tbh £22.83&£9.56=£32.39)...eventually arrived at MM, and i rec'd an email saying payment had been made £20.83+£7.06=£27.89..a difference of £4.50. The reason..one unoriginal DVD (I did buy from the Maker so I am open to say thats a maybe?) But the 2nd DVD which I originally paid £22.50 about 2 yrs ago for...was not received by them?? What?? are they serious??? Well I certainly don't have it, So where is it??? I have phoned 3 times (no answer), I have emailed twice (no reply). I have now reported them to Trading Standards who will be investigating, I am going to write them a registered letter with my complaint of theft/fraud that has occurred. This is about integrity and truth, and I am saddened that such a thing could happen when I sent my goods in good faith.

I have run I think their customer service phoneline has no operators they never answer I emailed details of the courier and their reference no response, I have so far sent 20 + emails with no response. Dont use totally incompoetent you wont get paid.

Was offered £152 for my iPhone 6, sent it to them and tracked the service, they were a day late in responding to me and only responded because I chased after I'd seen it had been delivered. They then told me my screen was cracked and they'd only give me £53 for it, I had this returned and the phone was in perfect condition as I had sent it! Waste of time and terrible communication throughout!

I decided to sell my old unlocked iPhone 5 through MusicMagpie. I was initially offered £80.10 via their website. When they received my phone, they reduced the offer to £25.15 with the claim that "Reason: Screen - green frame around LCD more than 1 cm". The reason changed when I called them to "the screen colours have faded. Neither of these claims are true as it was a phone used solely used for testing websites I designed for work (total use of ~50 hours). I have since decided to keep the phone for work purposes. It still does, and always has worked perfectly. This seems to be a common tactic used to maximise profits. I'd strongly recommend avoid selling any electrical devices to MusicMagpie. Sent 2 iPhones a 5 and a 6 plus both met their criteria of good condition. Upon receipt of the phone we were contacted to say the iPhone 5 had a faulty screen and the 6 plus had a faulty battery. These had both been in full time use until 3 days before they were sent to music magpie. The original offer for the 6 plus was £249.10 with supposed battery fault £45!! Less than a smashed one functional one?? The iPhone 5 was £70.10 reduced to £15. In total offer over £250 less than expected. Cancelled the transaction and phones are being shipped back. Avoid music magpie at all costs they are rip off merchants!

WARNING DO NOT SELL YOUR MOBILE TO MUSIC MAGPIE In the past I have used Mazuma to sell my old mobile phones after an upgrade (I would recommend them). This time I made the mistake of using Music Magpie because they were offering more money. I send my phone then check my email after having a few days off work and find an email telling me they had automatically accepted a revised offer of £8 for my mobile phone which they had previously offered £70. Apparently you only have 4 days to refuse their revised offers inclusive of weekends. I believe this is very unfair. I immediately the same day of the autoacceptance emailed them to explain I had only just seen their revised offer and strongly disagreed with it because my phone was in immaculate condition and asked them to return my phone to me or offer a fair amount only to receive point blank refusal. I feel cheated.

Sent a mobile in good condition and now they are saying cracked screen and deducted 40% off initial offer. I will be disputing this strongly but the fact they have done this is despicable and I would warn you to stay clear.

Very efficient service, i have no qualms about using their app/service and they pay very quickly. They are extremly useful if you want to get rid of your stuff. That they also pay postage is a plus.

It has been refreshing and pleasant to deal with a truly professional, honest and true to your word Company such as yours within which, you may take justifiable pride. I quite recently had the misfortune to deal with a so called competitor, “cashyourphone.co.uk.I found them to be deceitful, unscrupulous rogues with scant regard for someone aged such as myself approaching 80 years of age .Unable to find anything physically wrong with the condition of my iPad 4 they concocted a claim that the sound crackled at high volume.- actually, a bare faced lie. They accordingly reduced their offer from £48 to £22 or I could have had a return of tech for £20. I hope others may have the opportunity of reading this in full and being so warned, will support your Company in now and in the years to come. Colin Powell.

I have recently had to sell the CD collection of a deceased relative, and this process has been made much easier with MusicMagpie's scan and send routine. The facility of mailing boxes of CDs post-paid has meant that I have been able to take a careful approach to sorting and selling the items that I did not wish to retain. I hope that this will have released worthwhile titles for other collectors at a reasonable price, and it has certainly been very helpful to me.

I put together lots of books to sell and put the barcode through and was really surprised and disappointed with how little I was paid for various different topics of books. Regardless of what the initial cost price of to buy it new is irrelevant. I appreciate it is free p&p but for about 20 books I qualified for just over a £5 that was the minimum amount to sell. I didn't think that I needed that many books to qualify for the target of a FIVER.

Slow service. Unreasonable devaluation of products. Non shipment of an order meant I had to pursue a refund through PayPal. Buyer beware. I will never use music magpie again.

Not sure about Music Magpie. Sold an iphone to them, no issues whatsoever. However, sent in a Macbook Pro (fully working) as offered £400 but was told within 30 mins of them receiving the mac that it was faulty (apparent hardware fault) and they offered £80 instead. Now I know that the mac was working perfectly and so declined the paltry offer and the mac was sent back. I have checked the mac using Apple Diagnostics and no errors whatsoever! Not sure what they are playing at but thought potential sellers should know. I may be less sceptical if they provided full details of the so called fault so that I could confirm the issue but nothing was forthcoming.
