Why is there no phone number to contact, would appreciate an update on my order. After reading reviews I am concerned that I may not get it.

If you are thinking of ordering from this company DON'T. Save yourself the hassle. They sent me the wrong item which I returned. A month later (despite numerous emails sent to them) they have not sent the correct item. There is no way of contacting them other than by email....which they ignore. I wish I had read previous reviews prior to buying from them. Appalling company.

The customer service at Shabby is appalling. On 25th October, I ordered a few items, one which was a floor lamp for £125. The other items arrived but the delivery note from the company said the lamp is out of stock. I have NOT been reimbursed for this lamp and I’ve queried this with the company 4 times and they have not bothered to answer to date and I have not been refunded for a lamp I have not received and no longer need! Shocking service.

I bought the patterned ginger jar says slight imperfections but this is ridiculous all paint is dripped different colours used very SHABBY workmanship and offered return minus £15 to return as you have to pay the costs of there defaulted work avoid terrible workmanship and customer service

Advert said table comes fully assembled - no it does not! you have to spend ages measuring the glass top onto the frame, each time you want to move the table you have to re measure, ouch! as the glass top does not attach to the frame. The table is unfortunately not fit for purpose, the advert was untrue, it is not fully assembled, the glass table is a separate item and does not permanently attach itself to the glass so every time the table is moved you have to manually re measure - so disappointed

Irresponsible website , delay delivery 🚚 and didn’t accept faulty response. They didn’t send your packages on time . I found the website from Instagram, the items has very low quality. They wasn’t the same picture in Instagram. I am working in retail as well is a lot problem for this website .

AVOID….waited weeks for delivery so emailed to cancel for goods to turn up the following day. By this time the mirrors I had ordered I found in dunelm exactly same for half the price. As they had arrrive I requested to return or price promise , which is part of their terms when you buy. Received email to say no they wouldn’t price match and to return for credit note . Already paid for delivery which is more costly than normal company’s so kept but will never order from them again.

Awful awful customer service / policy My first purchase with shabby store was on 31/12/2020 for a console table. A number of their products are advertised at pre order and on the website it will state the month it will be delivered e.g “pre order for January delivery”. The console table was advertised as pre order for February delivery. I patiently waited and on the 11th March I emailed asking where the order was, I receive a reply the next day telling me the console table wasn’t available until early April. I was a bit disappointed it was a little longer but In all honesty there wasn’t a rush so I was happy to wait. Of their own accord Shabby store told me they added a small glass jar as an apology. I was contacted on 20th April to tell me it would be delivered the next day which was too short notice for me and I eventually got the console at the beginning of May which is 2 months after the initial preorder time period of February. I have to say the console table is excellent quality and I loved it so much I was happy to forgive the events of that purchase, although I never actually revived the ‘apology’ jar…. I returned to shabby store for my second purchase of a set of boxes, and two glass jars on 27/06/21. The boxes and 1 jar was preorder for July delivery. The other glass jar wasn’t stipulated as preorder on the website so I expected the normal delivery time of 5-10 days. The jars were a 50th birthday present for the beginning of August. Once again I have received no correspondence until I contacted them on 29/07/21. My request was to cancel the jars as they wouldn’t arrive in time for my mums birthday but again because of the quality of their items I was happy to hold out for the boxes as they are for me. I received a reply the same day and was told I could cancel but only be entitled to a credit note. I found this quite cheeky in all honesty, as the items haven’t even been dispatched, later in the email correspondence I was told the jars are preorder for August and the boxes will be with me next week. So it appears they don’t even have the jars in stock until August so why is it such an issue to refund my money for gods they don’t even have. I have clearly pointed out one of the jars was never a preorder item, and at the time of purchase the other jar and was preorder for July. I have provided a screenshot to them of their purchased confirmation email which clearly shows one of the jars isn’t preorder. Unfortunately the preorder items just show as preorder and the month isn’t shown on the email. I have waited 33 days so far for the delivery, the delivery I have also paid for. In my emails I have quoted the consumer rights regulations which quite clearly state companies should deliver within the time period in this case ‘July’ or within 30 days or you’re entitled to a full refund. Shabby store by their own admission have no intention of delivering in July. In the email response from shabby store it the legislation or my evidence hasn’t even been acknowledged. The reason for my review is not the quality of the items because in all fairness their items are lovely, but the review is for the unfairness and the manner in which they sell the items. In my case the delivery time period has not been met, they aren’t acknowledging my evidence or legislation surrounding consumer rights and by their own admission they don’t even have the items to deliver. Pre order for august is not good enough, and by my previous experience it wouldn’t arrived in August either! I would suggest you buy from somewhere else, because if it goes wrong it’s particularly bad and they don’t seem to care as long as they get your money. Why would anyone want a credit note with a company who don’t correspond and don’t deliver on time. If you do purchase from them on a preorder get an additional email confirming the preorder delivery month for your own piece of mind, as by coincidence they don’t record it! So unless you have a screenshot of the items on the website they could try and fob you off by telling you how the items are currently advertised as they are trying to do with me. I think I’ve put a fair case forward, and I don’t think asking for a refund is unfair. I have included emails of the correspondence from both occasions to show it’s not an exaggeration. It’s shows they are now saying the jars are preorder for august they were not when I ordered. It shows the time periods for delivery. It shows one of the items wasn’t preorder!

I purchased the small petite console table and a side table. The side table is faulty beyond use and when I contacted the store I was informed that the website stated it was faulty. This was not visible when I purchased it and I have photo below. Not only that, I wasn’t sent the right one. It’s a different colour. Massively disappointed when I’ve spent £700 in the store since January and I won’t be refunded for this. It cannot be used. I paid £75 for this unusable table and I wouldn’t have taken it for free if it seen images of it beforehand.

Hi Michelle, I am sorry you feel this way, as this was a clearance item which was advertised at the time of purchase. In the description before purchase it stated the item contained marks and imperfections to the paint and finish. Kind regards, Shabby Store

The product itself arrived well packaged. However, I won’t order from this company in future due to their return policy. Ordering products from the internet is always a risk and the fact that they do not offer a refund but rather a credit note is greatly disappointing. I would rather order from a company that allows a refund in the event the product isn’t as expected or doesn’t suit the style of my home in reality. I now face being stuck with credit and the risk that I won’t like my next purchase, if I actually find anything else I would want to order. Whilst it may be set out in their T&C’s, ordering online without the option of a refund is rare in my experience. If you want the option to see how a product looks in your home and send back if it doesn’t suit then don’t order from this store.

I purchased a mirror months ago which I was told was on its way. Then it was out of stock for months. The customer service is terrible and always blame the pandemic and current circumstances for stock issues. They do not seem to care when you try and contact them and think a small discount will make up for it. I finally received the item which cost £158 and it’s damaged. I will never purchase from them again. I ordered 3 items and only one ever came.

Absolutely terrible, 3 months ago I ordered a mirror which still hasn’t arrived. No one has been in contact with me to tell me the delays I’ve had to contact them. Each time the mirror hasn’t arrived I’ve had to contact them who just say ‘it’s on the way’. Absolutely terrible Service will never order from them again.

Do not order from this store. Placed an order back in January for delivery end of April. Got postponed till May. Then was told end of May. Then was told June, now told it’ll be another two weeks. I would cancel my order but won’t get a refund, only a credit note. Save yourself the bother

Received two lamps today disappointed with the quality of the lamps, lamp shades full of dirty marks and really poorly made weren’t cheap either £340 for the two bought as wedding present kept myself as couldn’t give to someone as a present very dissatisfied with product won’t be ordering from this company again take my word and read the reviews.

We bought a crystal water carafe, when it arrived they had sent 2 one with a broken handle and the 2nd was chipped in a number of places inside, The items were badly packed in a large box, in which they would have been ratting around, I sent them an email straight away with pictures, and asked them to arrange pick up and that a credit note was unacceptable, as I wouldn’t be purchasing from them again seeing the quality of their goods, I also wanted a full refund including the delivery charges which I have had to pay both ways, this had all been stated on the delivery note they wanted to charge £15 and that they would send a credit note, after they had deducted their delivery charges both ways, I waited a week with follow up emails but they didn’t respond, so I posted it back at a cost of £11 to myself, it has been 4 months now and they have not refunded me or responded to my emails, I am now going to contact trading standards and start legal proceedings.

I purchased a picture for my daughter who was moving into her own home many months ago. When the picture arrived it was wrapped in bubble wrap and had lots of shabby store tape all over it. We decided not to take it off in case we damaged it and in Friday when she moved into her home we were appalled at the state of it. The picture was in an acrylic frame which was all damaged at the corners and broken and the tape had badly marked the acrylic. The picture was such poor quality not worth the £400 price tag it was selling for. When we called them to explain they were very unhelpful and uninterested. The manger was even worse and had a terrible attitude. I even offered to pay for a replacement frame if they could source us one and she point blank refused to even help us. The picture is so bad it can’t be used, such a waste of money. Will definitely never shop with them again, the customer service is appalling. I would urge you to think before purchasing anything from them.

i wish i had read these reviews before i ordered from this website. they have taken payment of over £120 for an order made in February however i have not received the item and they have failed to respond to my email messages, no updates nothing. appalling service. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!!!! update: since writing a review, i have been contacted by the company & assured that my order should be delivered by the end of April. i was also given an apology & as a goodwill gesture given a voucher to spend with the company. 01/05 well what can i say? I was promised delivery by the end of April, however i have not received anything. No update on delivery status, no response to a further email, to chase up order. This company is a complete joke!!! Do not order from here! Full of lies & only seem to respond if you put a complaint on here! I want a refund asap! further update 05/05/21 still no response to emails with regards to item still not being received, however payment taken by shabby store, many months ago. unable to get through customer services telephone line, even though i am told by the automated system i am 1st in the queue. no response to emails no response to mobile number which i was initially called from in order to resolve issue. This company doesn't deserve 1 star. appalling service but quick to take your money for an item you have not received!!!! save yourself a lot of stress & do not order from here!!! shabby store nothing has been resolved!!! please contact me asap! please return my money!!!

Avoid using this company at all costs. Items ordered, part showed up. I had to chase and chase for the remainder of my order and eventually they said they no longer stocked the item. Asked for a refund, persuaded to have a credit note. Ordered more items - guess what? These didn’t arrive either weeks and weeks later! Asked for a refund but refused as items were ordered via credit note that they issued because they couldn’t honour the order. Complete amateurs running this outfit whose customer service is appalling. You could not make it up, buyer beware.
