Michael, I had looked forward to the purchase, but 50% import Duty is too steep. With regret I have cancelled the puchase and now look forward to the refund. Regards, Martin

Hi Martin, thank you for your review. All feedback is incredibly important to us. As frustrating as these fees are please note that it is not Michael Stewart Menswear that sets these fees but the trade agreement between the UK & EU. We do deduct all VAT on orders to the EU to help combat these fees, furthermore there is warning and notifications on our site & at checkout that there are additional fees to pay. I hope this helps to clear up any confusion, and thank you for shopping with us.

fantastically fast delivery with lots of emails.....unfortunately you have to pay to return items...... Refunds are slow and no correspondence to acknowledge receipt of goods you have to rely on the post office tracking.

Dear Mr Timms, Firstly let me apologise for the fact we cannot simply afford to offer free returns and yes our customers have to rely on the Post Office. We offer a free delivery next day delivery service and the product had an amazing saving on it. We have been overwhelmed with the amount of orders we have received and apologise for not refunding you sooner, but I take your point about sending correspondence to let the customer know we have received their parcel back. Happy enough with the fit and quality of product, but disappointed that the colour did not match the online picture colour as expected.

Service was good, delivery updates good, liked this being shipped by DPD they gave me an hour delivery slot. However was slightly disappointed with the quality of the jumper. It was very creased and the front looked a little dirty didn't look brand new. Bit disappointed with it.

The jacket ordered as XL was, in effect, at least 2 sizes too small, I would estimate. The front buttons would not reach, let alone close comfortably. In returning the product for a refund, I was in the unusual position of being required to pay £11 postage. Overall a disappointing experience. Peter.

Returns should be free, it actually cost me the £4.95 original postage & another £8 to return a coat a total of £12.95 in costs and I ended up with nothing for it!!!!!!

We will take this on-board for future discussions regarding free returns, however this is not an option we can currently offer at the moment. We do on the other hand offer size guides for our garments to minimise returns, and if the customer needs any more information on the item, we are more than happy to help out Have a great week :)

Hi, Very pleased with my polo shirt, fast delivery etc.. However, I was disappointed to find out the Barbour wax jackets had been increased in price during the sale event from £150 to £177. I was going to buy one at £150 with the 10% off offer but not at the elevated price. Regards Philip Garner

Great product, but when ordering two sizes if unsure of fitment and having to stump up for return postage can be expensive.
