“One of the bottles of Gaviscon I ordered arrived smashed (It wasn't wrapped in plastic as often bottle are but just brown paper) and I tried to phone on Friday at just after 5pm as it says they are open until 6 but the line said closed already and not open until Monday, so very frustrating. Obviously I wasn't going to keep a messy smashed glass bottle in the house over the weekend so took photo and emailed them Monday with said photo only to get reply saying could they have photo of it and also the damaged box. I put it all in the wheelie bin so unless I go rummaging in there I can't provide further photos. They have said they can't clearly see what it is in the photo and so can't help me any further. I am disgusted with this customer service and the implication that I am trying to be fraudulent. So now it seems I have paid double the amount for 1 bottle of Gaviscon, which isn't cheap. I did try and submit photo here but for some reason I can't, perhaps it's too big? The batch code etc. are clear so they could easily look that up and identify it if they wanted to be helpful.”

Hi Amy, We are so sorry to hear about this and we are sorry if anything we have stated has implied that you are fraudulent. Due to the nature of the product purchased, we do require clear photos of the damaged item and preferably photos of the damaged parcel so we can escalate the matter with Royal Mail. Unfortunately, your photo did not fit the requirements for this so we will not be able to do any further investigating with Royal Mail.
