“Having been with my broker for 3 years or so their price had been creeping up. A quick review with mcn compare and I managed to save £160 and more importantly I had better cover. I won't be so loyal to my broker next year - I will get quotes from mcn every year. V happy!”

“Insurance:- You must have it; they know it and try to take advantage of those who are too idle to shop around. MCN compare shops around for you. This year saved me roughly a third of the quoted premium for the same conditions and cover - 60 year old on the Isle of Wight with a CBF 1000.”

“I was looking for insurance on my 2005 Aprilia Falco and been 27 insurance quotes were around £650, I tried numerous comparison sites but MCN site was the cheapest at £227 and had the lower excess for fully comprehensive cover, I am very pleased, Thanks MCN”

“I used the site a couple of times. Firstly to get a renewal quote for my existing bike. this worked well. However, when I then went on to try and get a quote for a new bike I was buying (a Harley-Davidson Softail Slim S) this bike was not listed on your tables so you were unable to offer me a quote at all.”

“Good and some good deals.........but You need to read the small print if you can. I went for a Bennetts deal saving £95 on my Carole Nash renewal. When I got the policy, I discovered that the breakdown was only basic cover and there was no cover for riding other bikes and no cover for track days etc. It cost me another £25 to get the breakdown cover sorted and the policy had to be cancelled and a new one started to do this, resulting in me also paying the £3 card fee twice. So my overall saving was reduced to about £60 and the cover still didn't have other bikes, etc included. It seems that not all brokers/deals are on the comparison sites and the detail is sometimes hidden. I would use mcn compare as a guide but not rely on it or buy from it again. Conclusion - ignore the hype and headline sales prices - you get what you pay for.”

“Easy site to use, and well worth it. It's amazing how you can change a detail or two, ie, excess, mileage etc, enter it, and best prices and insurers change round. Or am I just a bit thick !”
