“Fantastic service less than half my renewal price and my excess is less than 1/4 of other sites with no hidden extras also it shows you if you are covered for other bikes rather than having to search through the policy wording”

“I always go to comparison sites for all my insurances every year. Not only did MCN get me the best deal this year for my bike, they gave me a £10 voucher JUST for getting a quote (which came in handy cos I needed a new pair of summer gloves). A no lose situation me thinks.”

“I did save money so I'm happy with that aspect. My big frustration about buying insurance for car or bike is the amount of information required to just get a quote. It was very time consuming. I object to having to put full phone number as I suspect it will lead to unwanted sales calls from Unknown or Number withheld. This is not a criticism of the MCN site but the Insurance industry in general. Saying that. the company I chose had already filled in a number for me ;10101010101. The price you see is not the price you're offered when you click to proceed, although the company I chose only automatically added Legal cover which I could have declined and got the price quoted. One famous company listed just under the heading/banner in the list which said 'Includes UK and European Breakdown' looked like a jolly good deal but when you click to buy, the basic premium is more than stated on the comparison page and Breakdown was an optional extra. What would be good would be a standard industry form which I could submit/upload to all companies rather than have to put the same information in plus a few minor variations and read the policies to make sure I'm getting the cover I want. ie Fully comp, No Claims protected, UK and European Breakdown, Accident recovery. Buying insurance is never a joyful experience but using the MCN site did make it easier. Thanks.”

“No doubt there are a number of comparison websites but I use mcn.compare as I'm a regular reader of the paper. It works well in that every time my renewal quote arrives it is too high (no reward for loyalty!). Therefore I see myself using the website every year when renewal is due. Ironically the company that sent a too-high renewal quotation were one of the cheapest if you are a first time customer! The company say it is beyond their control as it is the underwriter that sets the rates. Anyway, a good service overall, thanks. ps. I saved 50 per cent on the basic rate.”
