“Ordered picket fence and gate.Items didnt arrive on the day promised. Quality ok nothing fancy but does the job”

“The fence panels are very good value. Unfortunately there are 6 slates missing and I would appreciate it you could send them to me. I paid for next day delivery (Friday) to enable us to fix the over the weekend, as they did not arrive until the Monday we were unable to proceed.”

“Ordered paint from here as I couldn't find the same batch and brand anywhere else, needed to match an old tin to finish off the room. Would probably have been the same color in the newer products but couldn't take the chance. Was a day late on delivery but was informed so no problems there. Paint was actually dearer from here by £10 with delivery, after I received the paint turns out my local Screw fix sells the exact one I needed with no delivery price as it's literally round the corner, but they didn't turn up in a search on line. Live and learn :) Otherwise no complaints in the service....may be if you send an email out to inform of a late delivery you may want to put on the email your company name and order? Took a while to figure out what it was that was late and from whom...I ordered a few things that week :)”

“Very good on delivery. Paint tin seemed to be old due to the rust around lid and paint seemed to be a bit watery perhaps due to old stock? Regards J Parker”

“Arrived very quickly was well packed but tins were both damaged. One annoying aspect however was the ordering process. When trying to use PayPal you had to pay before being redirected back to main site to find the extra postage costs. I decided to use my credit card and got postage cost before paying. This nearly made me look elsewhere. Having said all that it was a pretty good price and that's the main thing.”

“Item was delivered very quickly, but i have only given rating as "good" because the tin of paint was dented on arrival. Maybe packaging could be improved in future.”

“I placed an order and requested next day delivery. It took 3 days in all to reach mel. I emailed Maxwells and they were very apologetic and the order arrived next day. I cannot fault Maxwells they have been badly let down by their courier”

“I had to ring to find why my order had not been fulfilled. After agreeing to refund my delivery charge I was told it would be delivered the following week. Unfortunately Yodel were not up to this simple task and I had to pursue them. It eventually arrived. It took another call to remind Maxwells to refund my delivery charge which has now arrived.”

“Being a keen DIYer I sometimes need materials and when its mostly gardening, fencing etc, they have to be ordered on line as they come from the main depot at Peterlee, not much of a problem as they send them up to the Birtley depot on the next van, I have always found the staff very helpful and knowledgeable about their products , not like B&Q who are now totally useless and overpriced, Maxwells are not much more for most things that are well priced at Screwfix or Toolstation but being on my doorstep I am more than happy to use them without a trip down to Team Valley to wait in a queue ,and they have much stock which is same cost or cheaper like in the paint range.”
