The order was placed on the 4th of September, and we posted it on the 7th by first class post. Frustratingly we are finding that Royal Mail deliveries are very inconsistent at present. We have apologised to the customer about the late delivery. If your order does not turn up soon after dispatch, please let us know and we will try and resolve it.

“Ref. MAGENTO1000077826 Order ID 230159 Order received on August 18th but was missing one item - 1 gram seed packet of Field Scabious. I called to enquire last week and was informed that it was out of stock at the time of order but was now available and would be sent out straight away, but unfortunately I still haven't received it. Kind regards, Chris Connon”

We had a problem with availability on one species. Unfortunately when we did get stock we made a mistake on dispatch. We have apologised and hopefully finally resolved this for this customer.

“The yellow rattle seeds arrived on time and in good conditon. However the 10 foxglove plugs were in a shallow cardboard box with all the leaves crushed. I've planted then on hoping they will recover but only 8 are showing any signs of recovering.”

“Used MeadowMania for the first time last year, and was pleased with the service, hence placed a second order this year. Unfortunately there were two problems this time: one item was not supplied (no notification); and there has been some leakage of the packets of the product supplied. As I’m mixing the products this is not an issue for me (just a bit messy), but would be a problem if segregation of different seeds is required.”

All Meadow mixes are based on 80% grass and 20% wild flowers. You sow lawn seed at 40 grams to the sq metre and meadow mixes at 4 grams. So you are only sowing about 3 grams to the sq meter of grass seed in a meadow. The grass is an important backdrop for the flowers.

Germination on meadow mixes is always slow. They are sown at low seed rates and the species are slower to grow. This has been one of the most challenging springs for a while in that we cannot get a consistent period of warm wet weather .When we do the seed will grow.

This customer actually sowed an annual mix with no meadow grass in it. This will grow more slowly than lawn seed but will establish to flower this summer.

“Unfortunately, my ten oxeye daisy plugs got caught up in the Easter holiday post so they were a bit the worse for wear by the time they arrived. I did contact Meadow Mania to tell them and they said they'd replace them if they failed. I have planted them out now and so far, they're just about hanging on...,”

“First time I've used MeadowMania. Ordering & supply arrangements were good. I was a bit disappointed by the very small size of the plug plants (ox-eye daisies) when received. Fortunately I now live in an area which seems to house very few slugs and snails. Where I lived previously these would have been just a one-night light snack for those critters! I did plant them out directly & they are surviving. However - depending on species - I wonder whether customers should be advised to pot them on for a while before finally planting out?”
