“I bought 25 plug plants of yellow rattle. They looked like strong plants, I have planted them but just a week before this hot weather so I have had to keep up with the watering to keep them alive! Very happy with my purchase - I hope that they continue to thrive. I’ve planted them in from of my ecobeehive where I hope to establish a meadow area. They are in cages to protect from the rabbits!”

“For seventeen years, I have proudly volunteered with Walk Wheel Cycle Trust along a beautiful stretch of the National Cycle Network, from the North Yorkshire seaside village of Staithes through to the Tees Barrage crossing. Weekends have been spent clearing paths, repairing surfaces, cutting back growth, helping cyclists, walkers and families, and caring for the route so many now enjoy every single day. But recently, something even more special has begun to happen. In 2023, 37,000 cyclists rode this section of the NCN1. Across the farm field margins and wildlife corridors beside NCN1, we have started creating native wildflower habitats. Areas once quiet and bare are slowly beginning to hum with life again, bees, butterflies, birds and colour returning to the pathways that connect our coast and countryside. Walk Wheel Cycle Trust. Naturally, this work comes at a cost. Proper native wildflower seed is expensive, but it is vital if we are to create genuine habitats that support local biodiversity for generations to come. The National Cycle Network is far more than a cycle path. “Absolutely over the moon to have stumbled across Meadowmania! We needed plants that the birds could feed from in the future. Meadowmania had the perfect bundle of plug plants for our garden.
