They have recently relocated their store to Benson in Oxfordshire where they sell a fabulous range of fine homeware and gifts, including soft toys from key brands such as Jellycat where they stock a growing range of loveable childrens toys. Other key brands for the home include Parlane, Voyage Maison and Dora Designs, as well as leading brand candles and diffusers. “Bought a peekaboo elephant by Gund. Disappointed with packaging as sent in a plain brown re used box taped at each end. After research it appears Gund products come in plastic presentation packaging. Although it had all the manufactures tags attached, it didn’t seem like a new product, one of the screws where batteries go was tarnished. The product is a gift and was cheaper than elsewhere which was a good point, couldn’t fault the speed of delivery which was excellent, the presentation let it down.”

Hi Dennis, we have sold a significant volume of these products and this is the very first and only complaint. I can assure you this is a genuine Gund product which comes to us in the box supplied, from the official Gund supplier, it was not a reused box, you will find it has the manufacturers SKU barcode on the box. I have never seen these products come in plastic presentation packaging, I think they would be copies. If you are not happy with the product you can return it for a refund. No quibble

“The soft toy I ordered arrived in a dented cardboard box. I would have hoped for it to be presented slightly better, as it was not even wrapped and could have easily been damaged.”

I am sorry for the condition of the box you received, unfortunately sometimes the packaging gets damaged in transit but it is rare, it is not a fragile item, however we take your comments on board and will double pack these items in the future. Thank you for your comments, we try to keep transit packaging to a minimum to conserve waste, but items are secure and safe in the transit postage bag. Additional gift wrapping is offered as an option at checkout.

“Turn around time was good. For fairly expensive cuddly toys the packaging they arrived in was awful. An old cardboard box with the toys just stuffed in with no bag or protection. For a company that presents itself as higher market, I found there presentation very disappointing.”

I am sorry you were not happy with the packaging. We send out books in new cardboard boxes as we find they better protect the product in transit. We try and keep our packaging to a minimum to conserve plastic waste. All boxes are completed sealed to ensue the products themselves are protected without the need for any unnecessary packaging. If any particular presentation is required, for instance as a gift, we are happy to oblige if requests are made on the order.

Thanks for your review, I think the bag you are referring to is only available with purchases direct from Jellycat, unfortunately Jellycat do not supply these bags to their stockists.
