“I have stayed at Lak apartments for a week during the past 2 years - this being my 3rd year. However, I was very disappointed this year since the upstairs neighbours were moving furniture at 11.30pm / midnight and slamming doors which is not acceptable. During my check out, which was supposed to be at 11am, the cleaner knocked on my door at 9am demanding to know the time when I was checking out since it was my last day and she needed to clean the room. I was in the shower at the time which was an inconvenience. I told her that I was allowed to stay until 11am since I was within my legal right to do so as I had paid for the room until 11am (costing £250 / night). The cleaner looked at me disapprovingly and left. In any case, I left the room at 09.30am. Another cleaner came into the apartment to take away the rubbish but I did not hear her knock on the door - the cleaner did not even apologise and was rather abrupt. Last year the room was cleaned once every 3 days but this year they did not even bother to clean the room (I stayed 6 nights costing £2,500) which is outrageous. The attitude of the cleaners needs to change towards the the paying guests. Taking the above into consideration, I am tempted to stay elsewhere next year. Kind regards, Ruth Brook”
