“Some surveyors actually responded by telephone Good some by email, can't be bothered with that But receptionists are not the people I the customer, want to talk to If you spend money advertising on the web for customers spending >£500, you need to ring me personally yourself within minutes. you may not have time to answer my questions, but I know i am talking to the organ grinder not the monkey”

“Quickly get a selection of surveyors with local knowledge. Note that not all may be chartered surveyors, so you will need to do your own checking in that regard and decide if you want an architect who does some surveying or a chartered surveyor,”

“Good: Prices in seconds, details of the surveyors to contact, seems fast and efficient. Oh, and free for me to use. Amazing: I clicked the button to get a price and one of the surveyors on the list called me AS I WAS READING THE RESULTS! That spooked me a little. Bad: The 16 calls and 4 emails I got from one of the companies on the list chasing me up, which didn't start until 2 days after I got the quote. My Top Tip: You don't have to put your phone number in to do a search... I found this out later.”

“Got information on half a dozen contractors very quickly. One called me the same evening, came round to give a quote and I subsequently arranged for him to carry out the work. Great, as I really didn't know where to find a reliable tradesman otherwise.”

“We were contacted by 2 of your contributors who gave us estimates for the work we wanted done. We chose one, who came and carried out the work as per the estimate. “Took 24 hours to get an appointment within a week. But the Ernest Hawkes Chartered Surveyors were nominated and booked a quick appointment. I had a call half an hour prior to the Survey which was very good so I could verify my tenants we at home. I had a brief chat with the Surveyor and left him to it. The Report and Valuation arrived today 4 days after the Survey was done. Very pleased with the service and will definitely use them again .”
