“Bombarded with calls and emails”

“I was unable to find a surveyor to help me with my request. None were available with less than three weeks notice and I needed help within days, not weeks. I also wanted an attended visit, which seems to be outside the remit of several of the businesses.”

“Two recommendations came up. The first one quoted £200 more than the price shown on your website, the second couldn't do the survey as it was too far away from them. Waste of time.”

“Very poor. The survey took less than 15 minutes and then when the valuation finally came through the comparables used were council flats with 70m2 of living space compared to our historic listed property of 230m2 with unique features. Appalling service and behaviour.”

“Waste of time for me. Was looking for the cost of re-building for insurance purposes. I explicitly asked for that. All I got was cut-and-paste from companies offering valuation surveys. Even the one company who quoted back to me my text asked for a rebuilding survey still quoted a valuation survey!”

“This service promised quotes from 5 local surveyors. It offered me one quote which was over 30 miles away and over priced. Completely and utterly useless service as far as I was concerned.”

“Your initial statement said I would receive five local Surveyors. I received only one. I contacted them, they completed a survey and advised me the results would be with me in two to three days. Eight days later, despite having paid their fee, I am still awaiting their valuation.”

“I have been shocked at how poor this service has been. As a retired Chartered Building Surveyor (FRICS) myself I had expected more. The surveyor that I selected has yet to reply to my e-mail and the other two keep bombarding me with, to my mind, overly aggressive phone messages and e-mails. I have just unsubscribed to one of these last two, not realising at any point that I had subscribed to anything from them. A most unpleasant experience.”
