It would appear that only one of the surveyors put forward were actually local.

Couldnt supply a leasehold valuation survey even after saying they could, now not answering calls or emails or refunding money

no usable results at all. No point in using it.

Not very helpful as the only company that came back to me were not local and didn't cover my area

A lot of money for very little service didn't use them. They were going to do a survey & write a report on my leaking chimney stack for the princely sum of £490, they weren't going up on roof but just looking at it from ground level I think they were having a laugh.

I wanted to find a surveyor for me to contact and was not expecting a barrage of calls and emails as soon as I hit search. While some people may like this, the "hard sell" and pressure has really put me off and I am seeking a surveyor via other means. Sorry.

Even though I was clear and specific in my requirements, not one contact had bothered to read what I had put.

I received five original estimates for my survey all of which were acceptable and then asked for more detail from all five in the survey. Only one company (Cosey) replied and bumped up the survey price by about a third to cover the extra information and detail I required. I then accepted their quote, but then they have come back and have said that their local surveyor is unable to do the work I require. Would you not have thought that they would have confirmed that he was able to do the work as required BEFORE they upped their estimate? So after a few weeks of dancing around the bed with the companies that responded, I have still not found a company that will do the work I want! Is that my fault or that of the companies recommended by your website?

The surveyor which you recommended and to whom you forwarded my details are no longer in business. I therefore made my own arrangements.

No availability in the area I needed. You need surveyors in all areas.

Not a resounding success. Of the 4 surveyors' details forwarded one ((Cosey Homes)said they didn't do commercial (possibly in the area I wanted) despite the quote clearly showing 'this is a... commercial property', another (Prinsegate) said their written quote was wrong and upped the quote to 4 times the written quote two I'm waiting to speak to. Stars so far one

JB unfortunately this is a minefield sector. Some companies did not give their address, some not their landline phone number, so it is difficult to understand where they operate from. Travel costs are a significant part of the fee. Some companies dont answer the phone. This site did what it could but overall I got nowhere because of the companies it advertises.

Surveyors just didn’t turn up which put everything into chaos.

The website is poorly organised which makes it difficult to define the project well. I tried two different approaches and in the best case I got a reply that they did not have a qualified surveyor in the area. My follow-up question was ignored. The other surveyors did not respond.

Expect them to cancel on the day of survey They canceled half an hour after the survey was meant to be carried out. They then didn't provide any other options than a refund. I would avoid as they can't be trusted to carry out the survey.
