“I contacted a surveyor on October 2 I think it was and the first appointment they could give me was well into November so I went on Yellow pages on line and found a local Swansea surveyor who could do it this week”

“One of your advertisers quoted £450 for a building survey and after emailing twice advised me that a lesser survey would cost more plus VAT. I have emailed LBS about this sharp practice and asked for the surveyors price to be revised or the company removed from the site.”

“What I wanted from a site with the word "Local" in its title was links to "local" firms. I got some of those but the cheapest quote was actually from some sort of National company (based miles away from the town where I was buying a house) claiming to have a "local" surveyor in my area. I had my suspicions that this surveyor was not "local" at all and when I challenged them to identify the surveyor and his/her familiarity with the area in which the house is located I was told that whilst he covered that area he was actually based over 30 miles away! Needlesss to say I didn't engage them.”

“I had to chase a lot. In the end I didn't get the information I requested when I requested it and I had to find an alternative surveyor doing a different kind of search because I was not contacted with the acceptance letter and T&Cs when I needed that.”

“We had excellent experience with Kim Sheppey from The Sheppey Partnership. Kim responded promptly to our inquiry with a competitive offer and performed the survey to a very highly standard extremely promptly.. Report was delivered on the next day of inspection. If you are after a building surveyor, look no further!”

“We tried a couple of surveyors and they could not help us without waiting 3 weeks or more, until Robert skinner Associates stepped in, he again could not help at first, but when we explained our problem, he re-arranged his diary and managed to fit us in, in just 3 days before he went on his holidays, although we will have to wait ten days for the full report, he gave us a report over the phone, so we could proceed with our purchase with peace of mind, he was not the cheapest, but he was no means anywhere near the dearest, he comes highly recommended.”
