“95% of the report was excellent - informative and clearly written. However, two related sections were a little unclear (4 degrees between us and we couldn't be certain what they meant) so we asked for them to make it clearer. They ignored the email and the subsequent phone call. If you don't intend to provide any follow up then don't put a line in the cover letter offering further information. Also, report took longer to arrive than they said and I had to chase them to invoice me. I wonder if this is why the sections above were unclear - were they written in a hurry because the report was overdue? I suspect Bowcliffe are usually better than this but on my experience alone I could not recommend them.”

“Ed Farmer carried out the building survey for me. Overall I found the service very good. The building survey was very detailed and useful. Additionally what makes his service different. 1. Contacted me beforehand to ask if I had any specific questions or concerns so he could look into this whilst doing the survey. 2. Provides photos of the property so can be used as reference when reviewing the survey. Other documents were also added to the drop box which helped. 3. I also contacted him after the survey as I had many questions regarding the property. Ed kindly walked through all the points and this was very useful in understanding more about the property.”

“We were trying to complete the sale on a tight time scale. I had arranged a survey on the 19th September. - the first appointment available when I approached the company a fortnight earlier.When I made an enquiry a couple of days before the 19th for a confirmation of a time of the survey I was informed that the firm was unable to do the survey after all on the 19th. and gave me an appointment in a further two weeks, which was after the date we had agreed for completion. By this time it was too late to arrange an appointment with an alternative surveyor. In order to complete my sale I was therefore forced into buying without a full survey. I was very unhappy about the whole process. The company involved was White Horse Surveyors”

“Punctual, helpful, approachable, He made notes for every room, details of origin of the building and state of updating and maintenance. What I requested was a valuation which I could quote to an insurance firm. We have been here for 35 years without an intermediate valuation.”
