“Unfortunately, I have not found amongst the Local Building Surveyors a structural surveyor to assess the damage to the wall and forecourt of my house. I will continue to search.”

“A potentially useful service ruined by the fact that, without obtaining the necessary explicit consent to receive direct marketing, using the service resulted in a large volume of unsolicited direct marketing (by phone, SMS and email). Not recommended.”

“Very easy to navigate and received replies from a good group of surveyors within seconds. The surveyor I chose completed the survey within 4 working days and called immediately after the survey to give me a brief overview. Very pleased with both the Local Building Surveyors website and the service received from my chosen surveyor.”

“We were looking for a surveyor in the local area. Through this website we found Mr Edward Stock who is based in Weymouth. He carried out a very thorough survey and telephoned a report before the written report. Highly recomended.”

“I received an acceptably quick reply but was not impressed by the system thereafter. I wanted a RICS probate valuation and a date it could be done. Instead I received an automated very generic reply and a request for upfront payment before clarifying the purpose of the valuation and a possiible date. I am not impressed with this automated impersonal service. I phoned up a RICS valuer directly instead from an online search and got a quote, date and a personal service and payment when the service is performed”

“I found this website very useful in that I was sent details of a number of surveyors immediately I typed in my information. However I was quite disconcerted to get several texts and phone calls within minutes of my enquiry being logged. I explained to each person that I needed time to decide which surveyor to instruct. Several of them were quite persistent, wanting a quick decision/offering discounts if i did so, and ultimately that put me off choosing them.”

“I was harrassed for days after using this service. They gave my details to EVERY surveyor on their list (not just the top one or two like other comparison websites). I was phoned and emailed and sometimes both by all the companies. Would not reccomend putting your information in here. After all that, even the cheapest quote was surpassed by our mortgage provider so we didnt hire any.”

“I used GNP Structural Surveys and was very impressed with their attention to my requirements as I needed specific advice on a period property. Their report was very detailed and they spent time going through the report with me so I understood fully all the problems at the property and how to correctly repair them. They included a very useful drone survey.”

“I have been shocked at how poor this service has been. As a retired Chartered Building Surveyor (FRICS) myself I had expected more. The surveyor that I selected has yet to reply to my e-mail and the other two keep bombarding me with, to my mind, overly aggressive phone messages and e-mails. I have just unsubscribed to one of these last two, not realising at any point that I had subscribed to anything from them. A most unpleasant experience.”

“I urgently needed a BS level 3 and i reached out to George Efthymiou through the list local surveyors sent and he was very efficient in his delivery and maintained high professional standards in the discharge of the survey. He made time to explain the content of the report thoroughly to me and I will vehemently recommend anyone to use George's services. He will make time to get the work done and will leave no stone unturned. His quote is very acceptable as well for the amount of work he does.”
