“I required a survey of some freeholds I had been left in my mother's will. I needed a valuation for probate and two people wanted to buy the freeholds off me. No company o. Your list could/would undertake the valuation.”

“Your surveyor search said that it would provide 4 local surveyors. It only provided one, which was some distance away from the search area. I could not believe there were no surveyors nearer than that, as there is a town which I expected to have surveyors available closer than the one you suggested. By using different search terms on google I found a very local, RICS qualified surveyor, and have asked them to do the valuation. This was one of many who were closer than the one you found. I therefore feel that using your website was a waste of time and was misleading.”

“I asked for a surveyor in Scotland and was given one in England and although they used to work in my area, had told the website some time ago that they don,t deal with Scotland anymore. There are at 4 surveyors in my area but this site didn't,t recommend any of them and recommended one some 50 miles away.”

“I was surprised that the carpets could not be lifted as I had paid for a structural survey instead of the Homebuyers survey, as another surveyor who looked at my property said a structural survey meant that you could lift the carpets and have good look at what was going on. I might just as well have saved money by having the cheaper survey.”

“When we were spending £300K on a new house, we felt the cost of the survey was a small price to pay. We were so pleased that the report confirmed what we thought that the house was in good shape and worth what we offered. The surveyor Hadrian was courteous and friendly to the owner of the house, who actually built the house! Excellent job and very thorough report.”

“I dealt with three members of staff at Leo Horsfield Surveying company and they were all brilliant. Normally, at best a suppliers company is efficient but their telephone manner was both professional and really friendly. I felt very comfortable dealing with them and the verbal report following the check was very detailed. I didn't feel like I was wasting their time. Looking forward now to receiving the written report. Highly recommended.”

“John Brownlow contacted me personally in response to my enquiry. He is local to the property, listened carefully to me and gave full and clear answers to all my questions. John provided me with sample surveys identifying the various levels of survey and their relevant costs. I was very happy with the personal and friendly service John provided and it was simple to make payment. The survey of my proposed purchase was completed promptly and I received a very full, detailed report illustrated by photographs a few days later. Very happy with the service and price charged by Brownlow Associates and will recommend.”

“The selection provided by you covered a wide spectrum of 4 practices both in size and specialisms. Of particular assistance were those who provided sample reports from earlier cases. These helped me to understand better the broad subject matter to be covered and the depth of reporting. I chose what I thought to be the best for my needs and it was not the cheapest. The survey itself has not yet been undertaken so I cannot comment on the quality delivered.”
