“I purchased some Smart LEDs and Smart bulbs. Such a great idea as I just had a pendant light in the middle of my room, adding in downlights and using smart LEDs allowed to bypass changing the wiring to two gang so they could be operated separately. Plus they have a great spread of light and was able to connect easily to my WiFi. Had to call up as the instructions weren't quite right, but the team helped straight away. I only rate down because the app they've partnered with for this range is a let down and there doesn't seem to be any support available for them. I've contacted both the app creators themselves and this company. Considering there's cheaper equivalent options available with better supporting apps, I can't say I'd 100% recommend.”

“A good company to deal with, stocks seem to be good and I found the website worked well, easy to navigate. Once ordered my bulbs arrived in good time, there are probably quicker out there, but mine arrived when I expected them to and were exactly as ordered.”

“As ever the service was quick and efficient. My one reservation was that this time when attempting to replace bathroom downlighters, previously purchased from Lightbulbs direct, but all replacements were now LEDs, and it wasn't obvious to me that I was purchasing the correct replacement. As it turned out I was, but a statement on the product description that they replaced specific previous products would have been helpful.”

“Good selection of light bulbs at good prices. I have used them before as I try to avoid Amazon. Only complaint is that they use Royal Mail for delivery. That cost them my fifth star. I wasted my time changing the delivery day in the RM app - but at least the postman took special effort to put the parcel in a safe space when I was out.”

“Service good and prompt. Unfortunately packing very poor. First set of fluorescent tubes snapped in half as package had been folded in half!! Customer services responded quickly and dispatched replacements. These also arrived in flimsy box and were broken. Gave up at this point as I was told they would only send one lot of replacements.”

“I bought a bulb, they sent the bulb. Why the hell does one have to say anything more?! This is why so many reasonably satisfied customers quit the process and their stars don't get registered. People don't follow me out of shops asking how the experience was. Just get off our backs!”

“I ordered some light bulbs, which came. The only thing was one of the bulbs were broken, smashed in little pieces. It would help if the packaging was more padded out. I did get a replacement which was great. I would probably use them again.”

“The first florescent tube was broken in two in the packaging. You quickly responded by dispatching a replacement which was received intact within days. The packaging was no better and still without a "Fagile " sticker.”

“The ordering process was easy and delivery by Royal Mail was prompt. I ordered four fluorescent tubes for my kitchen under cabinet lighting. Although the items were very well packed unfortunately two of the four tubes arrived broken (they look intact but make the telltale rattling sound when moved). I contacted Lightbulbs Direct and with no quibbles at all they immediately posted out two replacement tubes. Unfortunately the new tubes were also both dead on arrival. I suspect that regardless of how well packaged these items are they are simply too fragile to be sent through the mail. I therefore didn't bother to contact customer services about the issue again. Given the service I received I would definitely use Lightbulbs Direct again but not for anything that is particularly fragile. Clearly the issues I experienced are beyond their control which is why I didn't want them to waste more money attempting to provide further replacements.”
