The bulbs arrived promptly and had been well packaged. My only complaint is that I subsequently found exactly the same bulbs in Home Bargains for half the price. I know finding the correct bulbs in HB can be hit and miss but I wasn't expecting such a huge price difference.

The bulb didn't work. Tbh don't know if the bulb is defective or the actual unit has failed.

Not what I thought! Although i was reasonably pleased with the ease of finding products on the website i was disappointed by the comparative slowness of delivery (but that can be blamed on Royal Mail which takes ages for anything) and the fact that the light bulb I bought is rated F. I was not made aware of this or I would have bought something else. Anything below A on the new rating is not what I want!

I had to wait for a week for delivery. FedEx sent me daily emails saying that my delivery had been delayed 'due to[blank]'

My order arrived and all was fine apart from two light bulbs were missing. They were offered as part of the light fitting deal. Somewhat disappointed

Unfortunately, the First Adaptor supplied was the incorrect 'Male connection' part. I required BC22 & Received a GU10 fitting. Not a lot of use to me. However, thankfully Hannah supplied the correct adapter after I had spoken to her AND sent a return Reply postage form, as well. Thankyou. LightBulbs Direct Ltd

The item went to the wrong address. Royal Mail sent us a picture of the item being delivered through the door, but it was the wrong door

Took my order and payment but emailed me to say out of stock. They gave me the option of waiting or a refund. I have chosen to wait. Have used the company previously and they have been excellent.

I thought I ordered flared candle bulbs (as this is what I was looking for), but received ordinary candle bulbs. When I returned to the web site I could not find flared candle bulbs. Therefore, I am unclear as to what happened. The bulbs I received are fine and I will keep and use them. I feel there is no point returning them as I cannot swap them for flared candle bulbs as they are not on their website…a mystery!

THE SERVICE WAS GREAT BUT THE BULBS WERE A LET DOWN. THEY ARE SUPPOSEDLY DIMMABLE BUT EMIT A HIGH PITCHED WHISTLE WHEN ON THEIR HIGHEST BRIGHTNESS SETTING

Out of 3 LED bulbs 1 was far more yellow than the other two and one produced a constant shimmer. I am told a replacement has been sent and been asked to send back the shimmering bulb. However, I really have better things to do than pack and post the faulty bulb. I'll do it because I said I would but much better if they just got the quality right to start with

A good company sadly down by THE worst delivery company I've ever experienced. It took three separate attempts to deliver TWO LIGHTBULBS!! Their Delivery company APC, Lied about delivery, then delivered Broken bulbs then finally Delivered but gave me a whole raft of excuses. A shame as the customer support I received was excellent, so it was really frustrating for us both. Don't EVER use APC to deliver. My Advice :-)

I was sent the wrong bulbs and was asked to return them with the reply label. I wrote to say at great length I would do so minus the one I tested in case it might work in my flea trap. The replacements were not of the right screw base, size, or voltage. I was sent, twice, 50 volt pygmy bulbs. When the replacement bulbs came they were the same wrong ones again. I was told the bulbs were misfiled in the "warehouse". Eventually , the third posting, the right ones came, my having phoned the owner in the meantime having paid about £5.00 or more because the Post Office...in a Tesco's, said the reply business number would not do. Hah I had the reply envelope I would not have felt like an idiot conned into saving this supplier the postage which is what this felt like. The phone conversation was me stating facts, making light of the experience to stay calm, and in response I had no apology for the first mistake or its repetition, and that, for the much desired freturn of the wrong product, the postage should be free. Thanks. I thought the owner was not in control of the business, did not know how to apologise and tried to wriggle out of the return payment. And all this despite a long letter (email) a route taken to defuse the ask of returning the wrong items, showing some understanding and a fruitless telephone call with the owner no less. I predict a slow decline for this company, if it is conducted from a garage or conservatory then that might explain the amateur-ness of the business, dealing with two trifling errrors in the same week with the same customer , but compounding the error by not owning the problem and not remedy-ing my trouble in any meaningful way. I might well, though, use them again, as statistically I cannot expect such a loose fit to be repeated , nor should anyone else...after this sadly necessary getting even with a poor performance review which, the harsher it is the greater will be the lesson learnt for subsequent customers. Well, that is how I ex[lain this review...a necessary evil if the company learns from it and behaves with a better attitude to those who ay the bills. It is not difficult. So this should be the last anyone hears of poor service from "Light Bulbs Direct"! I look forward to using them again, surely they will be better after this. Edit afterwards. I just remembered the repackaged wrong bulbs had the website produced address upon it. The Post Office, not their finest hour, said the postcode made the computer say no. So, back home to check the source, direct from the owner on the phone. The reason the Post Office refused the printed out addresss on the return package was the postcode had a 0 (zero) instead of the alphabetical letter "O". When I revealed there was something wrong with the firms address on the webpages I got a luke warm response., No apology. No assurance it would not happen again. My goodness. What a poor performance. Yes, thinking back this firm was so bad and failing to recognise a problem I now think they can whistle in the wind for a revuision of this....they had their chance to put things right, and I did not even et thanked for the to and fro their incompetence allowed. If you have a disability in business you can expect little in comfort from customers who only get to see the results, not the cause, and I say employ a friend or partner to cover for any patterns of errors you get to hear about. They will not go away by themselves, even if you get 5 stars when things go well.

Have used these in the past without issue and I'm sure the lamps will be of the same quality as previous, however.... The reason I'm scoring them only 3 out of five is their choice of postage services and lack of postage options available at check out....as in you simply don't get one. I'm still waiting well over a week now for the lamps. For some unknown reason they decided too still use Royal mail despite the well advertised industrial actual taking place! The order was placed the day before the strikes started, Their are plenty of other courier options available to use and a choice should be offered at checkout to facilitate this!

I ordered a150cm. fluorescent tube. This arrived in a flimsy 4-sided cardboard box, closed with cellotape. The box had been flattened in transit and the tube was completely destroyed. Tubes should be mailed in [hard cardboard] cylindrical packages that give total protection. When I complained about the loss, Lightbulbs Direct handled the case very rapidly and I was re-imbursed immediately. WELL DONE !! As their customer services are excellent, I shall definitely continue to use Lightbulbs Direct, but please change the packaging for fluorescent tubes.
