“Absolutely disgraceful service and response. Bought some gloves and paid for them and then noticed that the price paid was £10.00 more than the label. Asked for refund, denied. Checked with Citizens Advice, who confirmed we were correct because we had already paid. Complained to company, no response to date. Assistant needs to be made more aware of consumer law, and not to be aggressive towards customers.”

“The gloves look and feel great good, and fit just well enough for me not to send them back, but ideally I would have gone for the next size up. I found the sizes chart required a somewhat unusual measurement on which it was difficult to be accurate without a tailor's tape and the nomenclature (i.e. Size 9 = a 9.5 inch measurement) almost bizarre. As one is buying blind, the internet buying experience and end-result were sub-optimal.”

Hi Peter, We didn't make the Glove Sizing... it baffled me when I first started too, but then why does footwear come in the sizes it comes in, or womenswear in the sizes it does? (the last one is probably less of a concern for you). Now, you know your glove size it should be the same for all good quality manufacturers. Indeed it's a more useful sizing structure than Small, Medium, Large, etc that can fluctuate greatly between one brand and another. We'll look at the explanation for measuring, perhaps if a tailor's tape isn't to hand, a strip of paper would work? Thanks

“I wanted to buy a special quality leather holdall as a gift, and when I read the history of Lakeland I decided to choose from them. It is so much better to support independent family businesses when one can. There was a glitch in the online paying system which necessitated a phone call. This was answered by a charming human being and my order was dealt with immediately and personally - a rare treat these days! It was delivered promptly and efficiently and the receiver was thrilled with it - it is a good size with excellent finish. My only request would be the facility to add a message for gifts. Thank you Lakeland.”
