“Visiting Lakeland's Eastgate Row store in Chester and purchasing 'Skelwith' (male) and 'Ambleside' (female) leather coats, together with a 'Scarsdale' travel bag was the perfect start to our holiday in Cheshire, made all the more special by the patient, faultless and knowledgeable customer service provided by Carole. And I used to wonder what was wrong with the Lakeland Leather coat I purchased in Ambleside in 1991 - a little aged maybe, but the perfect testament of Lakeland quality, so I've every confidence in the quality and durability of our new purchases. Thank you Carole and thank you Lakeland for a really enjoyable experience.”

“Don’t trust this company they are super sketchy, big spiel about the best leather and their heritage, however they don’t tell you what kind of leather they use, any reputable company would be transparent about this, these guys pedal “real” or “genuine” leather, I invite you to research those terms and find out that this company is bottom of the barrel in the shady leather game. They also use unbranded cheap zippers on bags they try to charge you over £200 for, you’ll get better quality on Amazon for £20! I look forward to seeing them on watchdog, take your money to Tuscany leather or a company with a soul! Here are my questions for when they respond to this review… do you use high quality branded zippers in all your products particularly premium items? Do you use full grain leather in all your products? Are you willing to disclose the type of leather you use in all your products? Why do you deliberately hide the leather quality of each item?”

“I cannot praise Lakeland Leather enough. When I couldn't get my payment to go through on line a very nice lady rang me back and did it for me. Then I needed to delay delivery till after my holiday and my coat came two days later after my return. The jacket is beautifully made and I am thrilled with it. Thankyou.”

“My order was placed and arrived quickly and efficiently. I am very pleased with my jacket and it's quality. My reason for only 4 stars is because the care kit, which I ordered separately, indicated that Lakeland had a "Love your leather video' available online unfortunately this was not so. An email request was made and an explanation was given. So a plus for customer service but a minus for online information.”
