About KNOOPS:

Jens Knoop has had a strong relationship with chocolate since his childhood in rural Germany. In 2013, he decided to share his passion and opened the first Knoops store in Rye, East Sussex. Today, our expertly crafted chocolate drinks and coffee can either be prepared by one of our Knoopologists in store, or created by our customers themselves at home.

We are experts in the craft of creating the perfect drinking chocolate - a process we call 'Knoopology'. The Knoops concept is based around our carefully curated percentage menu, which offers a wide range of chocolates to suit all tastes. Our real chocolate flakes can be used with one of our hand-picked hot chocolate makers to create the unique Knoops experience at home.

“I'm glad I tried this via Amazon. The chocolate is nothing special. I'm a dark chocolate fan. I'm happily finish the 72 and 100 I got. 72 is much sweeter than brands I've tried. I mix them both to reduce the sweetness. I won't be buying any more.”

“Just been to the newly opened Knoop in Bath. I was sooooo disappointed with the ambience of the place. It was like a poor grade bus station cafe!! Then to my horror I was given my hot chocolate in a paper cup!! Do I really want to have a luxurious hot chocolate in a paper cup sat on a bathroom stool? Then after deliberation I chose the chocolate I decided on and that, plus my next two choices where not available!! If all you want is a take away hot chocolate then I suppose this will do, but I want to meet my friends, enjoy the chocolate and be able to sit comfortably. I will not be returning until I see an improvement.”

“Knoops makes lovely hot chocolate but don’t be fooled by their ‘Dark’ hot chocolates. They just get more sweeter but not darker. I got the 52% thinking it would be a dark, healthier option but it was so sweet I couldn’t finish it. 37%, 36%, and 39% are probably what you are looking for.”

“I was advised to buy the chocolate flakes, as the buttons are no longer availabie online. Unfortunately they do not work as well in the Knoopifier, which is a shame, as I may not be able to use my knoopifier any more.”
