About KNOOPS:

Jens Knoop has had a strong relationship with chocolate since his childhood in rural Germany. In 2013, he decided to share his passion and opened the first Knoops store in Rye, East Sussex. Today, our expertly crafted chocolate drinks and coffee can either be prepared by one of our Knoopologists in store, or created by our customers themselves at home.

We are experts in the craft of creating the perfect drinking chocolate - a process we call 'Knoopology'. The Knoops concept is based around our carefully curated percentage menu, which offers a wide range of chocolates to suit all tastes. Our real chocolate flakes can be used with one of our hand-picked hot chocolate makers to create the unique Knoops experience at home.

“The best hot chocolate we've ever had! The best thing was my husband & I have different tastes, so we could both choose what we liked. My husband had 9% choc, dairy milk & whipped cream. He said it was delicous. I had 100% choc, coconut milk & cardomom. Oh my! What a treat! Liquid silk velvet rich smooth divine. Comoletely superior to apiwder cocoa suspension, the texture just enhanced the flavour. Definitely felt like an experience, not just a beverage. Like I didn't really undersrand mindfulness until today, it wasn't just a pleasant drink to warm us up or quench a thirst, everything else stopped for this hot chocolate, even the engaging conversation with my husband. The chocolate was the event. The staff were also friendly and efficient. Will return.”

“Went to the bath store was served by a young blind guy think his name was Jude, very polite and knowledgeable on the drinks, the hot chocolate was superb I do want to try a higher percentage next time. I wish there was more chair like seating bit the stools are OK for a quick pit stop.”

“Just tried my first order. All I can say is WOW. There is hot chocolate and then there is KNOOPS. This is next level for sure. Full chocolate flavour and not overly sweet. Would strongly recommend.”

“Absolutely loved visiting the shop and having one of there no 54 hot chocolate. It was excellent. Sam who worked in the Guildford branch was so interesting and was able to tell us all about the journey of the hot chocolate shop. It was a pleasant relaxing place to sit and enjoy there carrot cake to go with my hot chocolate. Thank you Sam Jan”
