About KNOOPS:

Jens Knoop has had a strong relationship with chocolate since his childhood in rural Germany. In 2013, he decided to share his passion and opened the first Knoops store in Rye, East Sussex. Today, our expertly crafted chocolate drinks and coffee can either be prepared by one of our Knoopologists in store, or created by our customers themselves at home.

We are experts in the craft of creating the perfect drinking chocolate - a process we call 'Knoopology'. The Knoops concept is based around our carefully curated percentage menu, which offers a wide range of chocolates to suit all tastes. Our real chocolate flakes can be used with one of our hand-picked hot chocolate makers to create the unique Knoops experience at home.

“I placed my order Feb. 13 and despite opting next day delivery for almost 10days and sending 2 emails my order still not yet deliver. Order no. 78529”

We have looked into this and have been advised there was an issue with the shipping address and the order was resent once the issue was rectified. “Went into your Newcastle store to try Knoops for the first time excited to try what they offered. Despite there being 5 members of staff behind the counter I felt ignored and in the way. Waited long enough then just walked out. Would not encourage me to try again. Wasn't even busy. Poor customer service.”

“Came here on Sunday and waited 10 mins to be served. The man then said it would be another 15-20 mins because it was only him working. Surely on a busy Sunday morning in Knightsbridge you would have more staff working? Very disappointed. We left without trying it.”

“Disappointing. New store in George st Edinburgh had proper cups but refused to use them for sit in. No plates for pastries. Tanzanian chocolate very good but it’s clear that all the sourcing has gone to the choc as the coffee was sub Starbucks.”

“I had a delicious 100% hot chocolate in Oxford and also got two lots of dark chocolate flakes for Christmas! I really hope to visit the Rye store when I am next visiting my home town of Hastings 🩵🍫☕️”

“We waited 15 minutes only to be told they were closing so we couldn’t be served. I asked why they didn’t put a closed/ closing sign up if they weren’t going to serve us only to be told they weren’t allowed. I thought the staff were a bit rude and customers shouldn’t be turned away when they have been standing in the queue.”

“Not worthy 7.00 pound what a I personally descrive Nesquuxk mixed with milk ? The amount of chocolate the add to milk I would like to know it is minimal ( my taste ) Also they use long life milk for lactose free not fresh”

Hi, sorry to hear you were disappointed with your drinks, our Knoopologists can always help with choosing a % that would suit you. Please note all our chocolate drinks are made with specially sourced, high quality chocolate to ensure a premium product and we get our milk from local farmers and therefore our Lacto-free milk may vary across stores. Our drinks start at £3.75 and vary depending on % of chocolate, drink type, size and extras.

“I'm glad I tried this via Amazon. The chocolate is nothing special. I'm a dark chocolate fan. I'm happily finish the 72 and 100 I got. 72 is much sweeter than brands I've tried. I mix them both to reduce the sweetness. I won't be buying any more.”

“I don't come out to 930pm and the staff are so good they save coffe for me so I can have a mocha milkshake all the staff are friendly and the manager gave me lots of information portobello banch is the best place to be for a late night drink”

“The best hot chocolate we've ever had! The best thing was my husband & I have different tastes, so we could both choose what we liked. My husband had 9% choc, dairy milk & whipped cream. He said it was delicous. I had 100% choc, coconut milk & cardomom. Oh my! What a treat! Liquid silk velvet rich smooth divine. Comoletely superior to apiwder cocoa suspension, the texture just enhanced the flavour. Definitely felt like an experience, not just a beverage. Like I didn't really undersrand mindfulness until today, it wasn't just a pleasant drink to warm us up or quench a thirst, everything else stopped for this hot chocolate, even the engaging conversation with my husband. The chocolate was the event. The staff were also friendly and efficient. Will return.”
