“I’m very pleased with my order experience. The package arrived 2 days earlier than predicted and in perfect condition. Since it is a birthday present for my grandson I did not open the package but I’m sure the kilt is going too be fine. We will know for sure on Saturday.”

“Good quality off the peg kilts ordered for my children. They arrived quickly and in time for an event. The kilts came up slightly larger than the measurements given, which is a good thing (I moved the buckles myself and they will get more wear out of them). Only down side was that the Ghillie shirt, age 11-12, had very short arms and not the wrist-length they appear to be on the wee boy in the photos. Also the shoulders were pretty snug (in comparison to the kilt, which was large). As such, the elbow-length Ghillie Shirt had to be returned leaving me without a full-outfit. I will use Kilt Society in future and would recommend the kilts.”

“Purchased two "essentials" (polyester/rayon) kilts in Persevere range. The reason for making a purchase was to replace Ghillie Brogues whose leather uppers are beginning to split which this style of shoe seems particularly prone to. The Thistle Brand Contemporary Ghillie Brogues which I purchased from the Kilt Society were not available direct from Thistle. I went up a half size to allow for the hose (which I hope will help reduce the incidence of hose "hole in the toe"); time will tell how well the Brogues will last. Although significantly more expensive than Lidl (who occassionally sell them before Burns in the "third aisle") I consider these are excellent value and will reduce the wear on my "made to order" clan tartan kilt.”

“Goods ordered for next day did not arrive due to parcel unfortunately missing pick up from warehouse. We had already left for event at which they were wanted. However we made arrangements for neighbour to take them in and they items are excellent.”

“The Brogues I bought arrived really quickly and were well packaged to protect them. At initial look the shoes look well made. They will need a period of breaking in as the uppers are quite hard, wouldn’t want to good to an all day wedding straight out of the box. More than happy with the purchase. Can’t wait to get my kilt on!”

Hi there Thanks so much for your review, please feel free to contact us directly if you have any concerns with your purchase, we are really happy to help out! Making your sporran chain shorter is quite easy and there's a few ways you can approach it. 1. Unclip the chain from the metal loop on the back of the sporran and thread the chain through the loop and then clip it back onto itself. 2. Remove the small spacer on the back of the sporran that the chain clips onto and push the chain through the leather loop and attach it to itself. You can clip it to one of the chain links rather than the two clips to each other. 3. If you have a couple of pairs of pliers you can remove some of the chain links to make it permanently shorter. 4. If the leather strap has more space with no holes, you can use a drill to make another hole in the leather to allow it to buckle tighter. Hopefully one or more of these ideas will work for you and do let me know if you get any issues. Kind Regards Louise

“Knew what I wanted. KS had it in stock. Bought all 3 colours. Now can hold my spring cardigans together and free up a hand. Works well. Bit surprised at courier shipping but suppose its because they are sharp !!”
