The website is very well presented and the product description very comprehensive. I have received my bespoke 5 yard kilt. It seems ok, however the unpacking experience was extremely underwhelming. I had not received any communication from the company to say that the kilt was being dispatched However, I did receive an email from DPD stating that a package was going to be delivered to me,from Isla Trading. A company with whom I have never had dealings. Having Googled Isla Trading,who seem to deal in inferior products,I concluded that it must be a scam. DPD delivered the package but not to the specified safe place. I was away on holiday at the time and was concerned to see from their delivery photo that the package has been left propped up against my front door, during a period of very wet and windy weather Fortunately, I was able to contact a neighbour and ask for the package to be taken in for safekeeping. I did not guess that there was a kilt inside the package,as the parcel was relatively flat and wrapped in grey plastic. The packaging and delivery experience made the unpacking a disappointing experience, even though the kilt looks ok. Probably dispatched by the actual manufacturer rather than Kilt Society? The company needs to up their game by presenting the finished goods in quality packaging The House of Bruar do this very well. The arrival of their products always feels like a sense of occasion, whereas my delivery from Kilt Society felt more like receiving something cheap from abroad. The actual kilt looks acceptable but the whole experience has been tainted by the poor packaging and poor communication. The company are not doing themselves any favours by dealing with customers in this way; we want to be made to feel valued and special.

Had to take the kilt to a dressmaker as the pleats were all over the place and sticking out in all directions.

Jacket and waistcoat fit great and the material is good quality. The waistcoat however came missing a button. The jacket came with a spare so will be able to fix.

Ordered a 38 waist and it was extremely tight, managed to get into them but definitely smaller than any other 38 waisted trousers I own. I would recommend going up a size with this brand.

The kilt was a bit disappointing as the quality of the cloth and some of the pleating was not of a very high standard. However for the price I suppose it was ok.

I have had two previous kilts from this company which fitted well ( size 30-32) . The sizing has now changed to 28-32 , I couldn’t even fasten this on the last hole of the straps! It was also a good inch shorter than my others.

The coat and vest fit well. However, the button on the left shoulder is loose and pulled out. The garments came just in a cardboard box with no plastic cover, resulting in receiving a dirty coat and vest. Considering the very high cost of postage and handling it’s not an acceptable standard. Very disappointed.

First of all. I don't have any info, that I will need to pay taxes plus delivery. Second thing- my old kilt had smallest tartan, but yours is bigger, that is not so good.

NO PROBLEM WITH TREWS, ORDERED BOW TIE TO MATCH AND ORDER ACCEPTED.....THEN A FEW DAYS LATER CANCELLED DUE TO LACK OF STOCK!!...WHY WAS ORDER ACCEPTED??

What did I expect for the price. I didn’t expect to see raw edges though, and the lining stitched through to the kilt so that it didn’t lie properly. I unpicked it and it hung a bit better. The pleats are different sizes. But it has made me realise that I could sew one myself and make a better job. So I shall do that. Thanks for the inspiration.

Cost and vest fit great . However ( and I hate to post this) all of the buttons just fell off on the vest as soon as I put it on the buttons on the jacket were also very loose . I had to take both to my tailor and have him secure them. Otherwise that my tailor said both garments were well made

Thank you Kilt Society. I received the Clan Crest brooch and it is beautiful but thought that the packaging was a little disappointing! It came wrapped in piece of bubble wrap and card. It would have been nice to have received it in a nice gift box!

Not withstanding the difficulties of the corvid lockdown, i felt that i could have been notified about the delay in delivery. When i read a notice about delays caused by Black Friday on my order notification, my confidence in the organisation of the Kilt Society dropped way down and I put an emergency order with Amazon to tide me over. Around a month to wait without explanation is not good. The socks are excellent and i will buy again.

Hello there Thanks for taking the time to leave us a review although we're sorry to hear the brooch still hasn't arrived. We've had a look on the tracking for you and the brooch appears to have left the ROISSY PIAC EXPORT, France International processing centre this morning and should be on its way to the delivery depot so it should be arriving very soon. We're really sorry for the delay with this. Couriers and postal services have been experiencing much higher volumes of parcels recently which has been causing some significant delays worldwide. 1ere commande : KS 75534 confirmée le 01/12/2020 et livrée le 04/12/2020 .Parfait ! 2ème commande : KS 75601 confirmée le 02/12/2020 , mais pas de nouvelles depuis ??? Alors pourquoi cette absence d'information de Kilt society , et ce retard de livraison ( nous sommes le 08/12/2020 ) ???

Hi Bernard Thanks for taking the time to leave us a review although we're sorry to hear about the issue with delivery of your second parcel. I can see we sent you a shipping confirmation email on 2nd December with a link to the tracking. Having looked at the tracking it appears your parcel has been delayed reaching France however it looks like it has left ROISSY PIAC International Processing centre, France this morning and should be on it's way to your local delivery depot. We're really sorry for the delay with this. Courier services are a little busier than normal this time of year so it can take a little longer for parcels to arrive. Was a bit disappointed at how creased they were on arrival ,previously ordered trousers which were great. theses are for gifts will have to steam before giving them ! Also no paperwork if we need to return ???
