“I renewed a policy online. Shocked at how expensive insurance costs have gone up by across 1 year. Was told everyone’s has gone up! Would have divided a cl more detailed answer as to why. Call agents seemed quite bored and disinterested. No personality.”

Dear Mr Knight, Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review and I apologise you were not given a more details explanation as to why the premium had increased. Insurance prices can fluctuate and are based on type of policy, trip duration, destination, age and medical history. From comparing the policy you purchased last year to the one you have taken out this year, I can see the area of travel has changed from Europe to Worldwide. “Having previewed your information on the web I applied by telephone in order to clarify a couple of points. The telephone was answered promptly with short menus.The call handler spoke clearly but needed to refer to someone else in order to answer to answer my queries. Payment over the phone was via a secure system. I am currently waiting for paper documents. Subsequent to my purchase I was confused by a couple of emails asking if I had made up my mind yet.”

“Last year my medical history was accepted and policy in force. Weeks later I was informed that the Underwriters stated that I would not be covered for low stomach discomfort in spite of being told that ultrasound that found nothing wrong. I feel this should have been stated when the Policy was commenced. I take it that my medical history has been accepted with the new Policy.”

“I was pleased with the travel insurance that I purchased but was sold baggage cover for flights that I did not require as I was going on a cruise only. This was not made plain when I was sold it. I later rang back to query this and the cover was cancelled. I spoke to two ladies called Abby and the one who cancelled the baggage insurance had more about her that the other. Otherwise I was satisfied.”
