“Jumblies notified me that my pre-ordered 1/72 Takom Bismarck15CM SK C/28 Gun Turret had arrived and posted it promptly as soon as i had paid the balance of my order. The kit arrived safely in a stout box, and was well worth the wait since it was announced. A more manageable sized model compared with Takom's other naval gun kits; the model is presented in a smallish box for Takom with colour illustration on the top and along one side and a photo of the contents on the other. Two large mouldings are obvious when opening the box: the stand simulating a section of deck and the turret gun housing, a 1 piece slide moulding carefully bubble wrapped. An A Sprue provides the barbette ring, turret base and a choice of gun sleeves providing 2 options for the elevation of the gun barrels, plus additional smaller turret parts. Two identical B Sprues provide a gun barrel and small detail parts. A small photo etch sheet provides small detail parts for the turret exterior and a piece of monofilament line is provided to complete the railings on the base piece. No decals are supplied. Construction appears to be straightforward. A nice kit of an important example of WW2 German naval ordnance.”
