I had my first proper bike ride yesterday,about 15 km on flat terra. Bike was comfortable and effortless. However when we returned to my daughter’s house her partner was there, who is a real bike expert. He noticed that a bolt was missing . He then noticed that another part was wrongly connected. That resulted in the back wheel not being safely fitted. He did a complete overhaul, fastened all the fittings and gave it a total check. He said it was just as well I rode the bike cautiously and at moderate speed. I am not sorry I bought this particular bike but am extremely disappointed in the bad workmanship. I could have ended up with a serious accident.

Really annoyed with this bike. Waited nearly 4 months to be able to buy one. I got a bike March 2022 and it has a squeak from the back wheel which has to be sprayed with PTFE dry lubricant every 20 miles ie one good trip or the noise would drive you crazy. One selling feature is the puncture resistant tyres. What a joke, onto 3rd tube, 2 for the back wheel and now one on the front wheel. Doing basic road cycling and covering the same routes for years and never once have I had a puncture on a regular bike. The company has agreed for the work to be done under guarantee, at their nearest agent. But at a 100 mile return journey (2 journeys so far) and needing some sort of repair every other week who can keep up with this. So very disappointed I wish, at nearly £1800, that I had spent my money elsewhere. Love the riding experience, its just it needs so much effort to keep it on the road.

Hi Ann, Sorry to hear you've had so many punctures. The tyres are specific e-bike tyres to deal with the extra weight and are puncture-resistant, they keep most nasty sharp edges out. Unfortunately, not in your case. As discussed via email, we will happily send you a replacement tyre to remove any possible doubt about the current tyre. As for the squeak at the rear wheel in your review. It is not an issue I have ever seen before with any of our bikes. Obviously, lubricating it every few miles is not a permanent fix, and we will be looking to send a mechanic out to you to resolve any issue you have in person fully. We want all of our customers to have the best experience with our bikes, and if there are any issues at all, we will always look to rectify them as soon as possible, free of charge, which is what we hope to do in your situation. Unfortunately, I have had a very negative experience with this bike. I’ve taken it in a few times for electric issues. Once it was going quite slow and the light wasn’t working. 4 weeks later I got my bike back, but that was 4 weeks I had to pay for transport. Next time, it was that my battery kept running out on me after 7.5 miles. Took it in, got it back 4 weeks later saying to bring it back if I still notice it. Finally, I’m on a hill and it just completely gives up. Full battery, but motor is completely gone. Will probably be anothe 4 weeks of paying for transport :( I’m so disappointed as it has really ruined the joy of having my first electric bike, it’s not reliable, and frankly, I’ll be selling it after this bit gets fixed as I can’t afford such an unreliable mode of transportation. Sorry.

Hello Misty You did contact us by email to confirm your bike is still in warranty and we're pleased to say it is, with 2 weeks remaining. As you originally chose to collect from our nearest stockist in Sutton Coldfield we have arranged for them to take a look for you. They are very experienced with our bikes and should be able to make any adjustment or repair straight away. It may be just a very simple service, but sometimes a part can be required and that can take a little time - a new battery for instance can take a week for us to check and then replace. Let's hope all that is needed is a squirt of oil onto a brake switch (which is designed to cut all power to the motor, as you describe). We do also provide a Free Service for all the bikes we sell and a regular yearly service is just £35. We're sorry you feel disappointed as we pride ourselves on the reliability of our bikes and the service we provide.
