“I now have three pair of Iolla spectacles and I am delighted with them, my only gripe is the new triangular case. If there was some way I could purchase one of the box shaped one’s I would be delighted tried both Glasgow shops to no avail, other than this it would be 5 stars.”

“Great experience choosing from a good range of frames. Shop is well laid out and staff very attentive. I went to try on before I had my appointment for an eye test. The only improvement I can suggest is that the sizing taken in the shop and I thought saved on their system dropped off and so I had to measure myself. Worked in the end but would have been less stressful if my details were saved for longer than two weeks. I would recommend and I will be a return customer . Also love the glasses case 🤓”

Our usual process when taking measurements in our showroom would be to email them out to you so you have a record of them. I'm so sorry that this didn't happen for you. The great news is that, now we have those measurements stored on your customer file, we will use them for all future orders. I hope this helps!

“I have now purchased my 4th pair of glasses from Iolla. Once I had received them through the post I made an appointment to have them adjusted to fit. I was delighted to have the lovely Hannah of the Glasgow City Centre branch to help me. I had met Hannah before on previous visits. She is the most lovely, helpful person who really takes the time to ensure you are satisfied with the fit of the glasses. Sadly she is leaving to further her career. I would say however that it is unlikely that I will buy any more glasses as Ioalla have stopped offering the service of providing nose pieces on their frames which I was happy to pay extra for. Without this it is unlikely I will be able to get a good fit from the frame styles due to my having a small nose bridge. Ioalla, please, please reconsider!”

Hannah is a hugely valued part of the IOLLA family and we will miss her dearly! I'm so sorry to hear that you're disappointed that we are no longer able to fit nose pads onto our frames. “The service in the Edinburgh shop was excellent, helpful without being pushy. I like your simple pricing system without gimmicks. All of these deserve 5 stars. My only criticism, which brought my rating down to 4, was your lack of bold simple purple or red frames”

“There was a good range to choose from. Nice layout. The staff were pleasant. Unfortunately my only issues are things out of the shops control which I can appreciate. (Covid) it was hard to judge how frames looked with a mask on. They kindly said I could go outside to take my mask off and they gave me a mirror, but it was small so I had to hold it at arms length to see my full face and without my glasses it was still hard to judge. They did offer their opinion on what they think looked best from the selection I had. Also had 30 mins booked to browse which put a bit of pressure on me (once again it's my own issues, as I struggle with low self-esteem so can be indecisive. I normally like a friend to be with me but I know that's not possible in these times) It was really helpful that they offered delivery. Came well packaged. Frame feels a little off/out of shape from the ones I tried (I can feel my left eyelashes squished on the lens) so I think they need adjusted? which they did mention I can come back for, but I'll wait until restrictions have lifted. It was a lovely wee shop, it's just that with covid happening it made things a little awkward. But thank the staff for doing the best they can with what they are given!”

We completely agree things are strange at the moment and we are doing our best to keep our showroom experience as easy and safe as possible, but we totally appreciate it can be harder to choose glasses at the moment than it normally would be. “Really pleased with my new glasses, they look great and are as good quality as I expected for a very reasonable price. All arrived quickly and I like the fact they fitted through my letterbox and with minimal packaging. Only slight gripe is that I think the case would be better covered in pleather/plastic rather than fabric which attracts bits/dirt. Would definitely order from Iolla again.”

“Great service during Covid restrictions. Unfortunately a bit of a delay in getting my glasses made up and delivered. However, the customer service team was second to none, and I’m now the proud wearer of my lovely new glasses. Would definitely recommend and will be back.”

“Hi This is a good service with only a couple of blips. Making the initial order was complicated by having to place the order before finishing the details of size, colour etc. As a result, I made three orders by mistake but you sorted that out. The glasses fit very well but the frame colour is duller than shown on the website.”

“I love my new Iolla glasses. They feel like great quality, they arrived promptly and they suit me really well. They are great value and I might have to get a second pair. The only thing I worried about was the fact that returns are difficult. I guess I was lucky that these specs suit me and fit me so well!”

We don't usually offer returns on prescription glasses as they are a bespoke product with lenses tailor made to your prescription. However, if you had been unhappy with your glasses, we would never have seen you stuck with a pair you don’t love. Don't hesitate to get in touch if you ever need any help or advice choosing a second pair!

“Love the new frames and I couldn't find cheaper glasses anywhere else for my prescription - it's such a good deal with the thinning included. The order was packaged so nicely, and the case and cloth add more lovely small touches. I do get a little colour halo on objects in my peripheral vision, but it doesn't bother me too much. I think it's probably just due to my very strong prescription (+7). Overall, I'm thrilled.”
