“Dear Iolla, I am having problems focusing with the sun glasses that I ordered. I will be back up in Glasgow next week and will pop in with them Agnes MUIRHEAD”

“1. Your staffs service is good! 2. At the time being, services your shop providing are quite limited! - No transition lens; - of course your packages £85 to some extend could be attractive, however frames without prescription also same price, this limited some business chance! - No service for customers bringing own frames to yr shop for prescription lens. 3. The frames you provide are charming, however I could found exactly the same products (though not in the same “IOLLA” brand) in town recently! In case you could not provide more flexible packages, could be difficult to compete!”

“Clip on sunglasses arrived quickly. I have two pairs and felt £40 for clip on sunglasses seemed pricy. I’d tried to get for either pair of glasses in the Edinburgh store but they weren’t in stock and staff seemed disinterested, which didn’t match my experience the first time I visited.”

“Love my new glasses at an affordable price. Had plenty of complements for friends & family. They arrived within the week and just love my flat pack glasses box. Losses a star as the slip down my nose tbh”

It's not unusual for a new pair of glasses to need a wee adjustment after they arrive with you. “Excellent customer service from IOLLA. I had ordered a soft glasses case from the website as a gift but it arrived slightly damaged. I contacted the help desk and received a prompt reply and less than 24 hours later I had a replacement case, a bar of chocolate and a personalised note. The glasses case is very good quality, fastens with a magnetic clip and comes complete with a cleaning cloth.”

“Recommended by a friend and found it a good experience. Lady in shop was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. There was a delay due to a problem with the lens which delayed my delivery by a week but I was delighted with my glasses when they arrived. I would definitely use this company again. Their prices are so competitive compared to what I have paid in the last. Well worth a visit.”

“My first experience buying glasses and Iolla made it very easy. I tried on and ordered 2 pairs of glasses on the Saturday - one for distance and one for reading. Both pairs were delivered by the following Thursday. The friendly and helpful staff made it a pleasant experience.”

“I like my new specs and, despite having a strong prescription which can result in bottle tops, the lenses were reasonably thin. I also normally wear top-of-the-range varifocals IOLLA's seem okay. I like the designs on offer but the build of the spectacles feels a bit lightweight. I reserve judgement until I see how long they last. The staff are nice, but somewhat gung-ho about the details of what it is the customer is going to get for lenses. Once again, for my strong prescription, the salesperson patter was over-simplistic with remarks like "we do our best in the factory." I'm sure IOLLA does, but it is not reassuring and feels a little patronising. Details would be much more helpful, I almost didn't buy.”
