I paid for my lamps on a Black Friday deal, however, it’s now January and I’m still waiting for delivery. Why advertise something on a deal when you clearly don’t have them in stock! Shocking service

Dear Glen, I was clearly disappointed to read your review and I am really sorry that you feel let down by our customer service, I can assure you this is highly unusual. I know it must be extremely frustrating waiting for items you may have expected a lot sooner, but we genuinely do try to keep our customers informed, updated and we try to explain the reasons for delays and give you as many options as possible for alternatives or refunds. I also hope that you found the initial ordering process, our website and our price a 5 star level. I have, therefore, investigated your order and we can see that the lamps you ordered were listed on the website (at the time) as “Please note, this is pre-order only for dispatch end December” this was in large bold type at the top of the listing information. We then emailed you on 17th Dec (see attached email) to advise of on-going delays and a revised dispatch date as well as the option of a change of item or a full refund. The reason for the delay, as we detailed in the email, is that “Anglepoise have been experiencing unprecedented delays with certain products due to a perfect storm of Covid and Brexit related issues. They have suffered from reduced workforces, factory shutdowns, delays with containers leaving port, UK port clearance (there is no room at many of the major UK ports as so many shipments are being shipped through ahead of 1st Jan) and associated customs issues, coupled with an exponential increase in demand from those home working, Black Friday buyers and those purchasing Christmas gifts. The net effect, I’m sorry to say, is that these issues have led to Anglepoise pushing their dispatch dates back.” Your review is clearly extremely important to us and for future customers in order to build a clear picture of the company they are dealing with. I would like to thank you once again for your comments and we will continue to review how we can provide better information around the delivery timescales for all of our customers.

I also hope that, now you have received your light, that you are pleased with it and that you found the initial ordering process, our website and our price to a very good level. Immediately after receiving your review I investigated your order and emailed you to advise that I could see that one of our customer support team exchanged several emails with you regarding delivery timescales, I can also see they had been asking the manufacturer for regular updates. It wasn’t until 15th Dec that the manufacturer advised us they had severe delays at port (as you may have seen reported on the news) and we explained to you that we couldn’t guarantee a pre-Christmas delivery and we offered you the option of a full refund. I know this is far from ideal, and we apologise for the delays you have had with this order, but unfortunately the toxic combination of Covid and Brexit has meant unprecedented delays for almost all our supply chain that we simply can’t do anything about. Your review is clearly extremely important for future customers in order to build a clear picture of the company they are dealing with, so I would like to thank you once again for your comments and we will continue to review how we can provide better information around the delivery timescales for all our customers.

Unfortunately we were unable to complete the purchase as it had been wrongly priced and we were reimbursed This was disappointing as our previous experiences had been excellent We would still recommend

Dear Gerard, we are really sorry that you had an issue with this purchase. As we explained at the time this was a temporary computer error that was rectified within 24 hrs. I believe you were also notified and refunded within 24 hours. This really was a one off and completely unprecedented issue. However, we're glad your other experiences had been excellent and we hope that you will use us again in the future.

Been waiting over two months and finally received the lamp. Although a week later than being told when it would arrive, I’m extremely pleased with it. In the grander scheme of things this year I wouldn’t have minded it being delayed had I have been informed by Inspyer. However I had to do the telephone & emails to enquire about when it might be delivered. Inspyer are very competitively priced and Carol whom I spoke to was extremely pleasant. The company just lacked customer liaison on this occasion. I would use them again and hopefully they will have read this and take heed regarding keeping customers updated on delayed items.

Hi Jan, I'm really sorry that you are still waiting for your lamp. I have investigated the order and can see that it was placed on 4th Nov. Our website clearly sated "Lead Time: 4-6 weeks", and it will be 6 weeks tomorrow (16th Dec). We have also advised you that the manufacturer has confirmed that the light will actually be dispatched on 17th, so a day late. I know it must be frustrating waiting for these lights, but with the unavoidable delays for almost all manufacturers at the moment (in relation to both Covid and Brexit, especially where they rely on components and materials that are shipped internationally), we are finding that many orders have been delayed through no fault of our own or the manufacturer. Again I apologise for the slight delay and we appreciate your patience during these very challenging times. Once you receive your light, and based on the above, I hope you will reconsider the two star review rating.

I know that the lights were coming from Original BTC, but I should still have been given an idea of when they were coming. Then when they were delivered i was only given 1 1/2 hours warning and unfortunately wasn't home so they had to be redelivered. i had ordered 6 lights, but then decided that i didn't want 2 of them and emailed Inspyer and i got a quick response, but i would have preferred more help with the invoice on how to return. The lights are lovely though.

Hi Sharon, I'm really sorry you didn't get sufficient notice, this is very unusual - the system that Original BTC uses sends an automatic notification by email and SMS once the delivery request is booked with DPD for next day delivery. I think this must be a freak IT glitch as we haven't had an issue with this before. Not sure what you mean about the invoice - perhaps a typo - if you meant information about returns we have a dedicated link at the bottom of every page about returns - it takes you tomour FAQs page https://www.inspyerlighting.co.uk/pages/faqs Glad you like the lights though! I would recommend this company and i cant fault them in any way. I cannot however recommend the Anglepoise lamp i bought. It looks nice but is poorly designed and made. It is floppy and flimsy, the cable clips are useless and it is really a table lamp with an extentsion added . You end up with an extra lamp base which is off no use. The bar which the springs attach to is to big for the arms and you can see that the metal will bend soon . Sometimes you dont get what you pay for.

Hi Geoffrey, thanks for the kind words and we're really sorry to hear that you're not happy with the lamp. I actually have the 1228 desk lamp version on my desk in front of me and have been using it for the last 3 years or so with no problem. Anglepoise also guarantee their lamps for life, so if you do have a problem with springs or similar they will fix it free of charge, even in 10 years time (please make sure you have registered the product with them to qualify)! I should also point out that we offer a 14 day change of mind policy, so if you don't like the light / lamp for any reason you can send it back and exchange it or have a full refund. Finally, if you feel that the lamp is 'defective' then please send pictures and a short video of these issues to info@inspyerlighting.co.uk and we will liaise with Anglepoise to see if it is something they can fix for you.
