“Sorry, but I had a poor experience with Horizons.
Waited months for my records and
Poor communication in letting me known what was happening.
They were not transparent with me and I had to keep contacting them.
I paid for records that they did not have in stock and this wasn't made clear. This happened a couple of times.
I also paid for a record, and did not receive for several months.
When I eventually realised and contacted them, again their correspondence was poor.
It did all get sorted in the end, but the experience has left me with a bad taste.
Maybe if I had received an apology and them acknowledging their errors...
Currently my faith is not restored in Horizons.”
“I didn't have any trouble getting my CD, although he found it hard to get hold of, then I asked Neil if I could order another CD in place of the previous, of which he happily did for me, I received it no problem, he was very prompt with getting back to me, and very polite too, I was happy with everything.”

“Why would you have items on your page that aren't in stock. That literally makes no sense. And then have an emailing list that bombards someone's inbox every hour with recommendations that aren't based on anything.
I bought a vinyl from them and then didn't hear anything for a long time, just to find out that they didn't have the vinyl in stock.
Use the money you get from people and invest in a programmer to fix your stocking issue.

Poor communication.Constant and deceitful lies. Not even a proper trader.. One man band in a house that will literally steal from you!
Refuses to give a refund and lies when he says he will. First it was 14 days. No refund. Then 3-5 days. No refund. Then stops answering emails.
Constantly offered store credit despite cancelling the product before it even shipped!!
Had to make a charge back claim with the bank to get my money back!
Will be reporting to trading standards also as I'm not the only one who has been robbed!”
“I Have ordered from this business a few times, I have never had a bad experience.
Yeah, sure it takes a few weeks for some of the items to arrive but it serves well to remember that this is a small business and as a small business they will also be subject to waiting on other suppliers getting to them. Personally, I would rather buy from a small business who is simply trying to make a living.
Anytime I have contacted Neil with regards to a waiting order, he has got back to me, yeah, his replies are brief, but I call that “straight to the point”.”

Item I ordered was unavailable in other retailers I had checked with. Horizons let me know that it was due to be restocked and kept me informed of progress. Arrived when they said it would, excellently packaged and reasonably priced.”

“Neil Monteiro is a terrible individual to deal with. I ordered some records back in May, which he obviously did not have in stock. At first, he kept promising a refund, and I gave him the benefit of the doubt on many occasions, assuming him to be berely poorly organised. However, he soon started lying, telling me he had issued the refund. When none was forthcoming, I asked my bank to issue chargebacks, and finally received my refunds that way in August. Do not go near this guy.”
“A while back I placed an order with Horizons and, following a delay while awaiting availability, the package was sent. One item, though was missing. I contacted them and was told it was out of stock, though it was suggested that it should have been available. Neil promised he would look into it and gave the impression that he was going to ask the shipping warehouse. I wondered if it had been overlooked as it was then sent shortly after. I can’t help but think that the communication with his supplier and others can be a factor in the reported delays, especially regarding availability. I thought it would help if they kept customers up to date on the progress of their order if it is delayed, though I appreciate they are a small company. I am sure that they would understand and, from experience, be reassured. I will say that Neil has always replied quickly when I have communicated. As a postscript, the item arrived smashed to pieces by Evri, who accepted no responsibility. It was replaced by Horizons without a quibble.”

Great choice of vinyls for what I was looking for, and resonable prices I'd say for what you purchase.
I'd certainly return to them again when I'm next looking to buy.

“Have ordered a few times from Horizon, including pre-ordering new releases - usually new CDs and existing vinyl. Never had any complaints. Prices fine, comms fine and even money off vouchers for return purchases etc. Used before, would use again. I know there are some bad reviews but I have had no bad service. But I do know that some of the bad reviews use exactly the same phrases and have really simple spelling errors - like the word vinyl which seems weird to me. I don't know what to believe but I believe I'll shop there again.”
“Ordered some records as pre-orders, but after some time I decided to purchase those records elsewhere. I reached out to get a refund and was refused a refund for items I never received. I was forced to use store credit instead, even though I requested a full refund. Emails with Neil have been unprofessional and poorly written. This business feels like it's more of a sloppy front than a well-oiled machine. The experience between a store like Horizons and Juno is night and day! I won't be using Horizons music again in the future even though I have store credit there.”
