“Ordered a hard to find vinyl from horizons music on 31st may. I emailed the company for updates and got super fast replies. Neil, who I'm assuming is the owner was really helpful and made sure my record was sent off straight away. Really happy! Received my record with next day delivery!”
“Took cash on pre-order. Later on I decided to cancel part of it. There was a debate whether I want to cancel on the premise “it will be limited edition, many pre-orders will be cancelled” (!). Eventually agreed to issue refund in 14 days. While waiting, I went through reviews on Reddit, Trustpilot etc. and requested to cancel the rest of my pre-order. Got told that refund will take further 14 days (clock resets?). Got called “impatient” when inquired why should it take 2 weeks to reverse a payment transaction which involved no product return. Got told that I had put them “out of picket” (£200, seriously?). Raised dispute via AmazonPay, will follow with dispute via Amex. Either a business with major liquidity problems or an outright scam. Stay away, there are plenty indie vinyl shops out there.”
“I'd give 0 stars if possible. Their inventory isn't accurate, and after letting you know the title isn't in stock, offer only a credit, and not a refund. If I'm going to be paying shipping to USA, it's going to be for the record I want. Lousy customer service as well. It took 3 days for them to tell me the title was out of stock. Then, since I demanded a refund, told me it could take 30 days to process. There is no shortage of places to buy vinyl online. I'll cross Horizons off the list.”

Horizon seemed to have it in stock so I ordered it. Shortly afterwards I read the reviews and was convinced I wouldn't receive it but a few days later it arrived, so I can't fault them.”

“So wish I'd checked previous reviews about Horizons Music before "purchasing" an LP. Searched site and they claimed to have the record ins stock. Emails followed that stock was coming soon. No further contact until I chased, and then they lied that the page had been updated with stock coming in next fortnight (it didn't say anything of the sort). I asked for a refund and heard nothing more. I then had to get a chargeback via my credit card for the original payment. All in all, an absolute scam artist, liar and thief. Save yourself a boatload of hassle and avoid this scam artist like the plague.”

Horizons Music have been banned on multiple platforms and Paypal won’t deal with them either. They need to be criminally investigated.”

As others have pointed out - Horizons Music have been BANNED by both Discogs and Paypal.
I placed an order from Horizons via Discogs which never turned up. I sent repeated chaser emails which never got answered. Also, the phone number on the website does not work. I had to claim my money back via Paypal - which I was lucky go get.
When I left a negative review on Discogs I received a threatening phone call from a rather thick sounding woman (‘Carolyn’ if I remember correctly) asking me to remove it «or else». Wtf??
If you’ve got an outstanding ordee with Horizons Music then I suggest you contact Trading Standards, your bank and actionfraud.police.uk straight away.”

I decided to give it another chance after 3 years without buying from them.
so far I am receiving information that I requested, only one email has not yet been answered.
I hope that everything goes well so that I can remove the bad impression that was left in the past.

“ABSOLUTE SCAM. Took my money, then claimed they were waiting for stock, then refused to refund as it was beyond the time frame for a refund even though they never had the stock in the first place. Neil Monteiro is now not responding to my messages. I've seen a number of others have been scammed by him too. AVOID at all costs.”

Three months later, I have received no package or refund. I have reached out and was first told that supply chain issues were the cause of delay. Now, he's not answering at all. “Made the mistake of ordering from this clown last year, the first and last time I'll use a company without Googling their rep beforehand. I was one of the lucky ones - I got my item, albeit after about a month and for a significantly higher price than I should have paid for it. I put a review on Trustpilot which somehow he's had taken down - so I thought I'd add to the general chorus here and say DO NOT USE. Also spams your inbox with multiple single item updates per day, alongside begging for positive feedback as he's 'bring targeted on social media'. You're not being targeted, you're just useless and dishonest.”
