“Sketchy site which allows you to buy things that are not actually in stock but say they are which then lead to you being told they are about to get repressed. I managed to salvage my money by swapping my order for another vinyl which they did have in stock I'm thankful for that.”

“Absolute clowns. I placed an order and after ten days, I’d had no update. I followed up and was told they didn’t have the record I ordered in stock. They offered me to exchange the record for a different one, or to use the money sent as credit. (I was not offered a refund).
I selected another record from the website at a lower price than the original item (£21, the first record was £22.). I was then told this second record also was out of stock, but they could send a different version of the same album. (They didn’t mention any price difference at this point.). I agreed, then they tried to charge me an extra £5, as this different version was a higher price than the first album I ordered. Because this different price wasn’t mentioned when I was originally offered the different record, I refused to pay the extra. They did then send the replacement record as agreed. However, the whole debacle took time and a very tedious email thread before I got anything. I’ve been buying records online for over ten years, always trying to support smaller independent retailers. This is by far the worst record shopping experience I’ve had online- utterly shambolic. AVOID AT ALL COSTS”

“Here we go again… I ordered a box set from Horizon. Ten days later I messaged them and was told that they don’t have it, never had it. They told me to choose something else or take store credit. I messaged them back to refund my card. The next day again, order something else or take store credit or they will refund my card in thirty days. Thirty days? WTF! Their business model is to bait a customer into purchasing an item that they never had to force them into choosing something else or store credit or to tie up your credit card for thirty days! No business ethics at all! I’m calling my credit card right now. AVOID HORIZON MUSIC AT ALL COSTS!!!”
“Do not purchase anything from this company. I placed an order for record store day 2025. It took over a week to arrive. I later find out these weren’t one of their approved partners. After emailing the company to find out when my order was going to be dispatched, the response was very condescending.
Horizon Music were taking your money and giving you the impression the records were in stock (when in fact they were not) and then placing an order with another company - very misleading. I also paid for 24 hour postage only for it to take 6 days”
“Same as others; I ordered an 'in stock' CD, it was only after I chased I found out that the item was not available at all. Was offered store credit, I asked for a refund, was told 14 days, same as everybody else.
This is unacceptable; I therefore, organised a chargeback by contacting my credit card provider.
Possibly not a scam but I can see why some would see it as such. It was a time consuming and frustrating experience, that I'm not going to repeat. Lesson learned.”

“Scammers. Ordered a Vinyl and paid £6.50 for next day delivery. 10 days had passed and no delivery. Contacted them and they said it was out of stock, even thought they advertised the item in stock. “I also made the fatal mistake of ordering from Horizon Music in early Jan 2025. I received no communication that any order had ever been shipped. When I contacted them they seemed rather keen to fob me off with a credit note given they never had the item in stock in the first place. I immediately asked for a refund and they ignored that request. I had to email them back again and then I got the standard boiler plate reply they send everyone where they say it will take 14 days to issue a refund. I'm still waiting.”
“Placed an order in August for an item that appeared to be in stock. When it didn't arrive, I contacted them to be told that it was on order with the supplier. After a few months of waiting with no updates, I started requesting a refund. At this point they stopped responding to my emails. After finally managing to get a response from them, they are now saying that I can't have a refund, only a store credit. Looking through other reviews here, it seems many others have had a similar experience. Avoid this store.”
