We did a lot of researching before booking my inspection a few months ago and really glad we chose Home Snag compared to other companies. I chose the option to have insulation checked and whilst everything was found to be ok, it was piece of mind that such a thorough inspection was carried out. After a few months there has only genuinely been the odd general shrinkage (decoration) issues to raise with the builder further to the report, so not only has it been a worthwhile process to raise 'major' things we certainly wouldnt have noticed (or at least after it was too late), it also saved us the mither of raising the minor items too, which frankly is also invaluable considering the chaos of moving in!

If only HomeSnag built houses! In all seriousness, my husband and I have been impressed from the start even before booking, and of course the end snagging report was great . The only slight recommendation is to have the snags numbered to help liaising with the site manager, but it's overcome because there are x6 snags per page so it's easy enough to navigate against page number. Thanks for all your help guys

We've been absolutely delighted with the professionalism and service of HomeSnag from start to finish. Someone has picked up every time we've called on the phone, and all our emails were answered even in advance of the snag test itself. Tom's visit to our 4 bed detached new build was impeccably professional: he arrived on time, made no mess and was extraordinarily thorough. I was very anxious about buying a new build because of other reviews online, and Tom's report was reassuringly detailed and attentive - he picked up things we would never have even thought to look for. The aerial photographs of the roof and thermal images of the walls are just brilliant. And to top everything, the report was done almost instantaneously - we couldn't believe how quickly he processed such a detailed (31 pages) report. Every part of this has been worth the money and I recommend this to anyone buying a new build.

Very polite helpful young man called Tom called to let me know an estimated time of arrival as it was a new property and I hadn't moved in yet. This allowed me time to meet him there. He was very efficient and thorough and didn't make any mess. He called to say when he would be finished which was a great help. He filled me in on the process and the report landed in my email box when he said it would! Very impressed with Tom and the company. My daughter will be using them to snag the show home she's moving into in a couple of months time! Thank you very much!

Deciding to get HomeSnag to produce a snag report for my new build house was possibly one of the best decisions I have made during what has been quite a stressful purchase. Tom was extremely helpful, explaining everything in detail and providing advice on how best to deal with the developer going forward. As well as detailing cosmetic issues, the report has highlighted a number of issues that weren't visible and I would have been missed if I was producing the snag list myself. I would highly recommend and would use if purchasing a new build house again in the future.

These reviews helped me choose a snagging company so more than happy to further add testimony your company. I called back up after initially reserving the day to add the cavity wall insulation check (at which stage I experienced really friendly customer service from HomeSnag admin lady ) ...during inspection although my walls were ok, they had not insulated above my garage which will prove invaluable in energy bills. This was alongside another hundred or so defects (3 bed). I also aim to get my builder to pay for the survey so it pays for itself. Inspector gave great advise and was complimentary on areas the builder did well at. We are glad to have booked for many reasons

Really happy with the detail of the reports provided. They were really easy to understand, included photos, descriptions and listed the trades required to fix. I was able to pass this onto the developer for them to action. Most likely get Tom back to do a final check before the 2 year period ends - definitely recommended.

We decided to have our new build home professionally snagged for piece of mind. Although the expense can be quite high having just moved into a new house, this is the best thing we could have done. We received a text from Lee the night before saying he would arrive between 8am-9am. He arrived on time, and walked us through the process of the day. He was extremely knowledgeable and professional which put our minds at ease straight away. 5 hours later, Lee has conducted a full and detailed snagging list of the house and talked me through the major ones. A few we had spotted the before he arrived, however to the untrained eye the majority of these would never have been picked up. In all, we have 160 issues to be rectified by the builder. The site manager has been in the property to inspect the snags on the report and he agrees with all of them. Considering the builder went through their own snagging inspection before completion, Lee at HomeSnag managed to pick up some major issues, in addition to smaller blemishes that can easily be rectified. We have since received a full report with pictures highlighting the areas of attention, with what trade the fault should be assigned to. This is with our site manager who is currently working with his trade to fix the problems for us. 100% worth the money, and I would recommend to anyone buying a new build. They could literally save you £1000's in the long run!! Gary, Northants.

Happy to suggest anyone buying a new build to get a snagging survey done by HomeSnag. Gaelle and Tom were very knowledgeable and the report he did was very good also. Saved me time spotting minor stuff, but mainly beneficial for the major issues that I wouldn't know how to spot Happy to advocate homesnag, and a pity more people dont know this company exist as I'm sure all new-build buyers would book if they did!

Fantastic service, I got homesnag to inspect my apartment and they were prompt, friendly and professional. The inspection was very thorough (even though I've only got a 2 bed place) and as well as highlighting issues, the overview report alongside it gave me peace of mind regarding everything inspected. Really couldn't recommend any higher

I was out of the country at work and Tom biased with my father to complete the snagging survey. With the survey taking place just before Christmas, Tom pulled out all the stops to get the report to us before Santa came, which was very much appreciated. I was very impressed with the report and then attention to detail shown. I was considering doing the snagging myself if I had been in country, however there is no chance I would have spotted a quarter of the defects. Highly recommend to anyone getting a new build.

We decided to get a homesnag survey on our 4 bed house (Barratt) after a few weeks of moving in because we noticed the quality wasn't great and we felt colder in a couple of rooms. We opted to have our wall installation checked and thermal images which was perfect to show the site manager we weren't just being fussy! - Really impressed with how all the issues were raised on the snagging report . Overall the service was great too...we had to change the inspection date a couple of times and Jess from homesnag couldn't have been nicer leading up to the inspection and helping answer our questions, thank you. We have recommended you to our neighbours

Superb service. I didn't even know companies like HomeSnag existed until my neighbour recommended them to me. The surveyors knowledge, advice and report was fantastic. Really impressed with the tools he used to identify issues and would recommend getting the thermal / insulation check which identified several issues on my house (alongside 235 other issues!!). A must for any new-build buyer - keep up the great work!

We made this booking after we had already moved into our new property. The inspection and subsequent report are absolutely first class. Very impressed with the knowledge, attention to detail and the ability to adapt the service to our needs. Tom found items that we had totally missed and even resolved an issue that the builder was struggling with. We would recommend this to anyone.

Brilliant service from the inspector & homesnag office team who helped me through the process inspecting my 5 bed house. Very friendly and took the time to explain specific issues found on the day as well as how the snagging process works on the whole (as it was all new to me). As well as picking up on major and minor issues, he also took the time to put my mind at rest with issues that were good. The inspector clearly had a lot of knowledge and experience and the array of tools and gadgets certainly made my site manager sweat at the sight when he came by! The sales lady from my builder tried putting me off using a snagger because she said it was a waste of money as their inspection process / nhbc was to a very high standard. But let me tell you, after seeing the homesnag report this is not the case and they only say this to put you off. Invaluable is the best word I can think of, thank you - would recommend highly

Prebooked HomeSnag online with a very easy to use calendar on their website. I also had a number of queries and they were really responsive and helpful. They were also flexible on the dates (subject to other work) and made life extremely easy when it came to getting them in for my final inspection on the new build. Prior to the day of the visit I was kept informed by the snagger (Lee) of when he would arrive and this carried through to the day itself. Lee arrived prior to me and was able to begin the assessment externally. Once inside a full and complete review was carried out with items picked up that I would never have spotted such as sockets not level, radiator not level and a cracked roof tile amongst other thing. 224 snags were identified overall. I cannot recommend this service highly enough, it is an absolute must for new builds.

We appointed HomeSnag to snag our new 4 bed property. It has turned out to be the best money we have spent! Tom was very flexible and helpful with delays and produced an in depth report withing days of completion which I then forwarded onto the builders. Not only was it a list, but it also had photos of every defect so the builders could see exactly what needed rectifying. The thermal images that were taken also enabled me see where the pipes had been installed in the walls to prevent me drilling into them at a later date. If anyone is in doubt about appointing a professional snagger, just do it. You will be more occupied in moving items into your home rather than looking for issues. This can save you a lot of time and money!
