“Booked Holiday Taxis to pick us up from Gatwick Airport from North terminal last Wednesday morning. When we arrived at meeting point 50 mins after original arrival time no taxi driver was there to meet us! As I had received a call from the driver I called him and got no response. Called no. on confirmation sheet and got Roadrunners taxis... spoke to operator and said he didnt think had taxi available to take us to our destination in Brighton and stand by phone and would call us back. Got call back and operator told us they had no one to take us and the booking was cancelled. Told him couldnt do that we had confirnation taxi driver would wait at arrival point 60 minutes from point plane had arrived/landed as per confirmation sheet. He basically stated they knew nothing of this agreement and to ring emergency no. and they would have to sort it out. This was early hours of the morning, however as it was emercency no. I called to get message office hours 8am - 8pm and to call back during those hours. I again called taxi co. Roadrunners and again informed them that they were the number to call and were under contract to collect us and take us to our destination. I was basically told they didnt give a rats a... about any contract.... 'a driver turned up you werent there so left', despite the arrivals board indicating a delay on arrival, they were not going to collect us. I told them already paid for a service they were supposed to provide... they were under obligation to follow through. Operator said they hadnt received any money from Holiday taxis to take us to Brighton therefore there was no contract and they would not be coming to pick us up to take us to Brighton ... any issues are between you and Holiday Taxis. We eventually got back to Brighton at 3 30am using an opposition taxi company costing me an additional ?89 on top of the ?75 Holiday Taxis charged me for my non pick up. Next day I called the Holiday Taxis contact number informed them what had happened and got told the booking had not been cancelled and was still open awaiting our collection and was advised to raise a complaint in order to get recompensed. I have had issues with Holiday Taxis on previous occasion with not being collected at airport for nearly 2 hours 3 years ago and was a little anxious about making the booking, however as I thought that this may have been a one off incident decided to give them another go. Obviously not impressed and really annoyed that overall it has cost me nearly ?160 to get back to home in Brighton. If anyone from Holiday Taxis head office should wish to call me, I would be more than happy to discuss further details with them. My booking reference is/was 9EZA5D. I did use credit card to pay for the booking and could ask credit card company to reverse the payment, however i feel there is a very strong issue that has to be resolved between Holiday Taxis and Roadrunners, and feel they way we were treated and talked to by the local taxi company that another taxi company should be sub contracted to work with Holiday Taxis to provide a service their guidelines indicate as per their confirmation booking sheet initiated on confirmation of booking.”
“Used private taxi from punta Cana airport to our hotel and on the return journey They were efficient and on time on both journeys The vehicle was a small mini bus/people carrier, clean and lovely smooth ride Would definitely use again”
“I cannot rate this company highly enough. very reasonably priced, on time, very helpful, carried our cases to the car. traveling is stressful and picked up by taxi and not using the coach transfer was a massive benefit. I would definitely recommend and i will be using them for my next holiday.”
“Coach arrived on time but our driver was not given instructions to stop at our hotel, and with the language barrier we had to wait till the end to explain to the driver we never stopped at our hotel. Quite a stressful start to the trip!”
“This Was family trip 11 of us greeted at airport with guy holding my name up taken to an air conditioned mini bus which took us to villa we rented on a tricky one way system then on day of departure arrived dead on time to take us back which calmed the nerves of one or two panickers in our party great service will use again and recommend”
“On 5th June, easyjet cancelled my flight. Your website would not allow me to amend the booking, so I tried to call the office, but no one answers the phone number. So I emailed. Twice. So I had to cancel that booking and make another. To date I still have no response to my emails and you owe me for the canx transfer. When I got to Palma at midnight, the queue was literally the length of the terminal with only 2 people processing the public.”
“I gave 2 stars, because we were eventually picked up and taken to our destinations - somewhat. We were picked up at the airport - over 30 minutes late - and after I called twice to find out if someone was coming. I was assured that wouldn't happen on the return trip back to Heathrow. But it was and this is when you don't want your transfer to be late. Again, a different driver was over 30 minutes late and I had to call to find out if anyone was coming. He also gave me a hard time for where we were waiting for pickup - I told him that was where the first driver had told us to stand. He said that driver didn't know what he was doing. When we got to the airport, he said the line to our terminal was too long, so he took us to another terminal, where we had to take the train to our terminal. We almost didn't make the flight. So, no I will not use or recommend Holiday Taxis.”
