“Extremely disappointed. I ordered a Guess bag for my daughter’s birthday, but Royal Mail left the parcel unattended outside an unidentified door and it disappeared. I live in a building with over 175 flats across 26 floors, yet the delivery photograph does not identify the floor or flat. There are also clear signs stating that parcels must not be left unattended because children and residents constantly enter and leave the building. I did not authorise a safe place, and the parcel was never handed to me. Hogies has left me waiting while they investigate with Royal Mail instead of promptly refunding me for an order I never received. This was meant to be my daughter’s birthday present. I am now without the gift and out of pocket. Very upsetting and disappointing customer service.”

As soon as you contacted us to advise that the parcel had not been received, we raised an investigation with Royal Mail straight away, as we also felt the parcel should not have been left in the circumstances described. We provided you with the Royal Mail investigation reference and were awaiting their response before we could establish what had happened to the parcel. We appreciate that having to wait for the outcome of a carrier investigation was frustrating and understand your disappointment. As we did not want you to be left waiting any longer, we have since issued a full refund for your order. We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience and disappointment caused by the delivery of your parcel. While the delivery was carried out by Royal Mail, we appreciate that your experience was understandably frustrating and that this was not the service we would expect our customers to receive. “I received the wrong perfume, it was pretty expensive (the one I bought and the one I received by mistake) so naturally you panic and hope the return goes well. The lady I spoke to on the phone was very nice and helpful, the store paid for the return and within the hour of receiving the perfume back they refunded me. I’ve shopped with them before this and I’ll definitely shop with them again. Very trusting company.”
