“I had been asked to provide an occupier's waiver when I told our lender (of an already existing mortgage) that my granddaughter had come to stay after graduating from university. While I explained her stay would be very short term, the lender said that if in the course of a year she stayed a total of more than six months (i.e.183 days or more) they would require that she sign an occupier's waiver. Your lucid explanation relates to a different case but made clear to me how I should proceed. Thank you”
