“I'm selling and found reading your how to go about it very helpful thanks”

“I am trying to identify if building control is required for the re-building of a gable end on a house. There is no mention of re-building of existing external walls as requiring building control or of it being exempt. All approved person schemes referred to on the website do not include building or brickwork. This is also the case for the govt website. I expect that the re-building of a large external wall or other extensive re-building would be covered. Everything referred to on this website is about changes such as extensions.”

“You talk about internal insulation problems, but don't say how a person looking to buy a house can check the quality or any problems arising from insulation already done. Or how much it would cost and how you go about it, to put t right if it turns out to be a problem later on. Are buyers covered for insulation done for a previous owner under the government schemes? So an informative but very incomplete article. It has left me with far more questions than answers.”
