“I’ve been reading this sites posts for over a year. I find it unbiased, informative, reliable. We’re selling our home this year and this site helped us make a plan to maximise value and minimise hassle. We have used the site to line up local established and well regarded estate agent at .75% plus vat, conveyancer/solicitor, removals & epc. We have a pricing strategy and have identified things that might drag on price and sorted them out (electrical safety cert/new consumer unit, rebuilt chimney, new bathroom, redecorated inside, kerb appeal repainted front and new tiled path and stone steps). So we can put on market with an attractive home that has no red flags or negotiating issues at all realistic price to create interest. This site definitely helped focus us and avoid common traps. It also warned us off buying homes in unadopted estates, the ‘estate charges’ scandal, which local agents deliberately mislead people over by stressing “ small charge to fund play areas and verge cutting” rather than horrific liabilities making homes potentially unsaleable. Had no idea about this until I read about it here. So it certainly seems like it’s on your side as a buyer and or seller rather than the ‘property business’. I’ve never read anything I can question or contradict through other reliable sources.”
