“Flavour AND texture. A trip back to growing up, when chicken was a special meal. Memory stirring smells when cooking, and delicious brown juices for proper gravy!! Thank you Birds (and you all of course) Regards Joan”

“The turkey was delicious! The packaging suggested there should be some fresh herbs included- but they weren’t there. However, it didn’t matter because we had some here anyway. Definitely would recommend Herb Fed for your Thanksgiving turkey.”

“I have bought the herb fed chicken for several years but through Farmisons and when they stopped selling the I thought that was that, and then I found I could buy direct I was very happy. These chickens and cockerals are the best I have ever had. The doggies.”

“Delighted with speedy efficiency of my first (large) order having discovered Herb Fed chickens enroute home recently at Gloucester Farm Services on M5! From my order confirmation through to prompt delivery and terrific cold ice packaging, it was all excellent service. Very impressed and delicious flavoursome chicken, taste like chickens used to be!”

Thank you for the review. Sorry you were expecting giblets - We don't include giblets with our chickens as many people don't want them - if we have any in stock however when you next order and you mention it in your order we can include them. We will also be adding giblet packs to our shop after Christmas. To add- We do of course include giblets with all our Christmas roosters & turkeys.

“The Chickens are excellent, but the one thing I had a problem with was that they were packed with fresh rosemary which I do not like and found that it tainted the chicken so I had to wash them before I cooked them, which is not recommended, Can I please request that on future orders that no fresh herbs be included in the packaging as they are perfect as they are. Thank you”

“Delicious! A good range of lovely cuts and the two chickens are a great size. We shall purchase again. This time we'll probably come over and collect from the farm (I think we can do that?).”

“The quality of the chicken is excellent. It is far better in both taste and texture than the chicken one normally buys in a supermarket. I also like the fact that it is traceable, we know what the bids have been fed and that they have led a much more free range life. The chicken is delivered in first-rate condition and freezes well. We'll keep buying most of our chicken from Herb Fed in future.”

“Roasted one of the whole chickens - very moist and tasty. Happy with the product. Only concern was with delivery. Diced breast (frozen) had started to slightly defrost in the corners of the bags when I unpacked my delivery (done as soon as received).”

“Easy ordering, punctual delivery, fabulous, succulent, tasty chickens. Friendly helpful staff, this is my second order & will be ordering again as soon as space permits. I order in bulk to avoid delivery charges to Scotland. I have been buying top quality chickens for decades but these a the best.”
