I just couldn't get on with my new hearing aids, frankly I only got them to keep my wife happy. No fuss from the audiologist, full refund was back on my card the next day. They do what they say they will, really genuine guys.

I've been having hearing tests for the last 14 years as I am a pilot, I often suffer from wax blockages so tests have to get rescheduled whilst I get referred to the GP to have it removed. When I saw you yesterday, I again had a blockage but you kindly removed the wax straight away whilst I was there - much more convenient.

I do not have an aid and trying to find out independent information which was comprehensive and impartial was proving impossible. With your brilliant Guide, I can now distinguish between what info will be partial to each provider and what is determined by the technology of all and individual aid manufacturers. You only learn the truth if you know what questions to ask. Your guide is a good springboard from which to leap into the waters of individual branded products. Thank you. Perhaps looking more into the advantages of wireless technology would be really interesting because by now, I trust your clear analysis of the various problems inherent with a product which won't be so easy to read elsewhere. I have yet to find a survey of the brands mentioned in your guide, I suppose this would be too large to undertake.

The audiologist asked me a lot of questions about my lifestyle and the kind of environments I need to hear in most often. That was before even testing and after a thorough medical questionaire (ear related only) She then let me try on three different sets of hearing aids so that I could compare the different sound qualities. I've never had such a thorough hearing assessment.

I know that "Which" (backed up with references) always say says that, hearing aids, spectacles etc., are better bought from independent traders rather than the High Street Nationals. I had been looking for an independent for a couple of years but they can be difficult to find, Then I found hearingaid.org.uk . They found me one of the best audiologists there is, he is visiting me so that the aid will also be perfect for my TV, Hi-Fi, (Wife!) requirements. It will be the best aid available and probably only 2/3 the price from the High Street. What else could I have expected. Good Luck...

I downloaded the Consumer Guide. The guide gives an excellent description of the complex world of hearing aids, describing the various types available, differences in technology used and the pitfalls of buying from certain retailers. The guide appears to be impartial in it's advice and, unlike other retailers, publishes the prices of the various types of hearing aid.

I have been a customer for three years now but have never gotten around to leaving you a review - I'm currently sat waiting for my delayed flight so have some time to kill. My left hearing aid stopped working yesterday - I really struggle without them and as said was about to go on holiday. I phoned Kim the receptionist at 9am this morning, she arranged an appointment for 11am (yes, on a Saturday) and Paul fixed my hearing aid within about 5 minutes - blocked microphone. Thank you to both of you - I can now relax and enjoy my holiday - once I get there.

Sorry for delay. Your email went to my junk mail box and I have only just noticed it. Your intro document was very interesting, as were the tips and advice, and I shall follow it up in the near future. I intend to take your advice and apply for a NHS instrument first and see how that works. If not satisfied I will look for private one. Kind Regards James

I used the service about a year ago and was connected to the nearest audiologist. He was very friendly and knowligable. Unfortunately I was unable to cotinue due to health problems. I now hope to proceed with finding satisfactory hearing aids. The prices seem to be cheaper than in the local audiologists.

Simple to read, impartial advice and guidance. Recommendations to always go to NHS first - excellent. That?s what I did but 4 years on they haven?t kept up with latest technology (cutbacks etc) thus I?ll be approaching Hearingaid.org.uk to consider a better aid. I wish I?d read this booklet a long time ago.
