Poor service; delivered late - suggest you don’t use DHL in future as they let me down at the last minute so my flight to see the notary in Malaga was a waste of time and money.

Thank you for your feedback. In this case, the document initially provided was a photocopy of a marriage certificate, which unfortunately cannot be legalised. Only official certificates can have the apostille added. For Spain, the authorities require an original marriage certificate issued within the last three months, so the team contacted you to explain this and help you obtain the correct document. This added several days to your service as your copy document could not be legalised. Once the correct certificate was received, we proceeded with the apostille service in just one working day. The final delivery was unfortunately affected by a delay with DHL in the UK, which was outside of our control. We always aim to guide customers through the process and resolve any document issues as quickly as possible, and we are glad we were able to help get the correct certificate prepared for use in Spain. As the delivery of the document took longer than expected, we will be refunding the delivery fee to you. We are sorry that DHL did not provide the expected level of service on this occasion.

I have not yet received my apostilled DBS because DHL failed to deliver it. They claim they could not gain access to my property, even though I was in and all of my door bell, phone (I had given my details and asked to be informed when I was next scheduled delivery) and email were working. They have not yet responded to my email complaint and do not accept calls to human beings. I needed this document for an overseas trip. I have had to depart without it and need to make urgent arrangements for it to be delivered to an alternative address so I can have it sent on. Despite this, DHL sent it out for delivery again yesterday, again without success because, as I informed them, I had to take my scheduled flight. They appear to have received my complaint as I've not been informed the item is out for deleivery today but, 48 hours after automatically acknowledging my complaint and promising to contact me within 24 hours, I have not heard from them.

We're truly sorry to hear about your experience with DHL,especially given your travel plans. We completely understand how frustrating this is. Your document was completed and dispatched by our team within two working days of receipt (received 19 June, dispatched 23 June), but unfortunately, the courier service let us down on this occasion. While the courier services we use are normally very reliable, it's clear this fell short. We’ve refunded your delivery fee as a gesture of goodwill, and we’re continuing to monitor the tracking closely. Please contact us if you'd like us to coordinate with the courier on your behalf or redirect the delivery.

After using the online chat service to speak with someone, I was offered a fast track service, for which I paid £126. I was assured it would be with me by the end of the following day (12 hours max turn around). It did not arrive as requested, arriving the day after I was promised. I do not recommend this service for urgent translations. I found another service which was cheaper and provided me with a certified translation within 3 hours - I wish I had spoken with them first!

Dear Charlotte, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry to hear you were disappointed with your experience. Our team worked to complete your translation as quickly as possible. However, we understand that the delay in receiving the completed document may have caused inconvenience. While we aim to meet our stated turnaround times, processing times are intended as a guide and can occasionally fluctuate due to unforeseen circumstances. We’re sorry this has not met your expectations on this occasion, and we will be arranging for a full refund to be issued.

Thank you for your feedback. I’m sorry to hear you have not been satisfied with the speed of service. We received your document on Friday afternoon and, following the bank holiday weekend, we’re scheduled to complete your later today. This is in line with the expected processing times and it’s not possible for any service provider to complete the apostille process any faster given the circumstances. The FCDO were closed for the bank holiday. Your order is due to be dispatched from our office this afternoon and should be with you shortly. Thank you for your understanding.

Item was due to be delivered 5 days ago and the courier (DX Express) still hasn’t turned up. This is the courier recommended by The Hague Apostille and we paid a premium for the item to be returned promptly and securely. I’m still waiting.

Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry to hear your order has not yet arrived. The vast majority of completed orders we send using the secure courier service are delivered the following working day as expected. Unfortunately, there are some factors that are beyond our control. Private courier firms throughout the UK are facing disruption to their usual services following recent Royal Mail strikes. Increased volumes of deliveries have also exacerbated this disruption during the festive period. I understand you have been in touch with us earlier today and the courier fee has been refunded. We have also been in contact with the courier firm to resolve this and we anticipate the item to be delivered shortly.

Dear Jack, I am sorry to hear you have received the document back in this condition. We aim to take the utmost care with every document we receive and process. If the document has been bent in transit then I would like to offer my sincerest apologies on behalf of the postal service for this. We do appreciate the importance of maintaining the condition of all documents sent to us. We also aim to return these documents in hardbacked envelopes with a protective, waterproof covering. If you are able to email me images of the document in question and the packaging then I can review this and arrange for you to be reimbursed for a replacement document. Kind regards Lewis

Thank you for your review. I can see from your order details you selected the airmail delivery option for dispatching your document. This service is processed by the local postal services and is usually delivered in 2 weeks from the date of dispatch. With the current COVID restrictions it is possible this can take slightly longer. Your document is still within the 2 week delivery estimate. Please contact us if you have any questions regarding the shipment. Kind Regard The Hague Apostille Service

I am deeply dissapointed. My university have sent 2 paper copies of electronic documents. I have received one from Hague Apostille with "Certified as a true copy of the original electronic/PDF document...", which is in agreement with reality, while the other one had "certified to be a true copy (crossed out)/an original document...". The last stamp siggests that the document is an original, which will cause questions, as the body I am aiming to send these documents to, will only accept copies, which, in reality, both documents are. And the dirty smeared date of certification is a minor problem compared to the one described above.

Thank you for the feedback. When preparing academic documents, our solicitor will apply their stamps in accordance with government requirements and how the documents are presented. Specific statements have to be added. I am sorry if the date stamp has smudged as it has been applied.. it would still be legible or the solicitor would have restamped the document. This will not affect the document or the use overseas. If you have any problems with someone accepting these we will be happy to explain the legalisation process to them. We wish you success in the New Year. Regards, Lewis.
