“After my boots first outing, a dry sunny day with the route taking me through a couple of fields of long wet grass, they took several days to dry and were stained. Further spraying and polishing did not improve their appearance, and I contacted yourselves and at the same time found care instructions under the Help heading on your website , not somewhere I would expect to be looking having only purchased the boots in May. This advised me, as did your email response, that the boots can dry out after production while in storage and may need various products to enhance the quality and durability of the leather. Why then do the boots not come with this advice in the box and instead of the free gifts I think the products required would be more useful. Really disappointed as I wore my Brasher boots from day 1, the water always ran off and frankly they lasted 12 years, with regular wax , waterproofing and polish. It was only after my return from a walking holiday that I noticed that the soles were very badly worn on one boot , which might have contributed to a slight problem with my foot. Hence I decided to treat myself and chose your Boots having mostly excellent reviews and the ability to wear straight out of the box without needing to walk in. I walk 2-4 times a week, they are not much good to me in our climate if they then take days to dry.. I have requested a replacement pair so that I can start all over and give them the benefit of the doubt, I never had this problem with my original and cheaper high tec boots ..”

“Only just received the boots so don’t know how wearable or long lasting they will be. Excellent service from Grisport staff, (especially Jenny). I ordered the boots but then had to be away for their delivery date. Jenny delayed dispatch until I returned home and boots arrived next day (Saturday). I hope the boots are as good as the service. Thank you.”

“I'm enjoying my new Peaklander boots very much. They are true to size. I wore them on two short walks (5-10 k) before I attempted anything longer; the ankle cuff is higher than on my previous boots and initially rubbed a bit - until I got used to them. They've taken me up Hellvelyn with ease and the longest walk I've done in them was 21.4 k. They are now very comfortable.”

“I have had a number of pairs of Grisport boots and shoes. They are good quality and usually fit well out of the box. Customer service is good as well I would definitely recommend grisport.”

“I bought some Grisport Quattro crazy horse hiking boots back in December 2023 and they fitted perfectly, I had very little time to wear them in but they gave me no problems what so ever. probably the best walking boots I have ever had. on the back of this when I needed some safety boots for work I thought I would give Grisport a try so I bought the alloy tan safety boots which again are very comfortable from the off and extremely light, I no longer have the urge to to take my boots off at the end of the working day, but instead look forward to putting them on at the start of the day.”

“I always buy my walking boots from Grisport - the quality is always first class and they fit me very well. I walk every day before I start my day, and its important to wear comfortable boots that support my ankles. I am 68 years old and like to keep as fit as possible and I cannot take the chance with falling over. (I am still working full time - on my feet all day - 5 days a week) I love the fact that they include extra insoles, or socks, or waterproofing spray - or all 3! Better than a discount. Delivery has always been quick - 2-3 days.”
