“I was worried about buying boots on line. It would not be my normal preference but with the Covid 19 pandemic and the Grisport Guarantee and reviews I decided to give it a go. I fully expected to be having to send them back but on slipping my feet into the boots I knew it was a risk worth taking. I wouldn't go as far as to say no breaking in is needed. It is very good leather and benefits from some walking to soften the uppers but I have had them a few weeks now and have worn them every day. We have had frost, snow, slush and lots of rain and they have consistantly kept my feet warm and dry. No regrets on the purchase. Five stars”

“Grispoert are excellent but their hawk lowland trek boots with vibram sole slip badly on wet and ice surfaces. Cheaper boots without vibram sole have much better grip”

“I have 2pairs of Grisport,and they are very comfy.Bought the Icarus,as I wanted something a bit better looking.They look good,but the Crepe type sole are hard with no spring in them and make my feet ache”

“Seven years ago, I bought my first pair of Grisport shoes from a retailer in the Lake District. Italian shoes have a reputation for being the best shoes in the world. I have found this to be true, especially now that I have bought a new pair of boots which I put on straight away with no discomfort whatsoever, and no breaking in. These are like wearing slippers. I had to throw away my first pair, but I wore them to destruction. The only reason I had to buy a new pair, was that the soles had, eventually, been worn out. Awesome.”

“I learned about Grisport after I ordered a pair of Hurricane boots as a Christmas present for my daughter to replace a pair she had worn out, and I have nothing but praise for my Inverness walking shoes. Very comfortable, with firm support around the arch and room for my toes to wiggle about. The leather is beautifully tanned and although I have not yet put it to the test, I am sure they would be waterproof as advertised. They are stylish too, more than appropriate for wandering around city streets (when we are once again allowed to do this). The service too was very good--the shoes arrived as promised shortly after I placed my order. I have nothing but praise for the company and its products.”

“Ordered a pair of Dartmoor walking shoes for my wife, very prompt delivery and the quality of the shoes seemed very good. Unfortunately they rubbed on her ankle bone so were returned. The return process was hassle free with quick refund, consequently would not hesitate to try this company again in the future.”

“Hugely disappointed in these shoes. Labelled Unisex but the height below the outer anklebone is way too high for this woman - size 6. Have spent more on Compeed blister plasters to ease the pain, but even after persevering on a simple 45minute walk each day for a week, the shoes have not eased and neither have my ankles. Ladies beweare of these unisex shoes. Wish I'd chosen ones cut on a ladies Last.”
