“Excellent boots. Bought for 3 years from Grisport, my recent purchase was difficult as their site declined my card, nothing wrong with my card. Eventually telephoned to place order found the staff not very helpful, did not accept there was anything wrong their end, couldn't find my account. Placed my order and my boots were delivered.”

“A quick company review? I(a person) brought a pair of walking shoes from you, like I purchase anything else off the internet. I am not sure how good the shoes are or will be but they look and feel ok. After a 100 miles walking or so I should have a better idea. I did find it quite difficult to buy a pair of leather walks/boots from anywhere else. Most companies sell material walking shoes(water roof?) or leather shoes that don't last very long before the soles go them but the upper leather is still in an almost perfect condition.”

“Bought a pair of Pennine boots in January and by May the soles, while showing practically no signs of wear, had cracked across. Customer Service was excellent - I purchased a new pair of Saracen boots and they refunded the purchase price of the Pennine boots and made up the difference. So far so good with the new boots. Their advice is always to buy boots with Vibram soles (begs the question why do they make any others?). Customer Service gets 5 stars - cracked boots loses a star.”

“I love, love, love Grisport footwear. I have a pair of their walking boots and a pair of walking shoes. Both are utterly brilliant and were comfortable straight out of the box. I wanted a pair of 'easy lace' shoes, so when they were half-price in the sale, I ordered them. Ordering was fine, yet delivery was slower than usual. But the real disappointment was the shoes - the left and right foot bore little resemblance to each other (shape-wise) and while one foot was comfortable, the other shoe cut into my ankle. I decided to order again, to see if I could get a pair that matched - I actually ordered two more pairs by mistake. Again, slow to come (though see below). However, all three pairs had the same issue, suggesting to me that it was a manufacturing problem. I wouldn't have minded the mismatched look so much if they had been comfortable but, as I say, one foot was fab and the other cut in. I am rather upset by this, as the shoes would otherwise have been perfect. In the second order, I also ordered a pair of walking shoes for my partner. They are brilliant, and he is delighted with them. I hope to have a better experience in the future. One tip that may help others - if you use Apple Pay, you don't have any delivery options, which means you default to 'whenever they can', which is why my orders were slightly delayed (because Grisport are very busy). No-one's fault, but if you need something urgently it might be useful to know.”

“Nothing is perfect but Grisport comes very close. The boots purchased were a birthday request by my wife to replace a pair she has had for around 10 years. There was a reluctance to buy online but she is very pleased with the fit and comfort straight from the box. And they were a good price and arrived on time.”

“I bought these new boots for my partner and we were both very pleased with the looking quality of the boot. She wore them around the house and short walks, they were great. On a longer walk on a hot day, they rubbered her heal badly, proving too small. This is not a complaint about the boots, but about the sizing advice, as I would suggest you need to size up by one. This is a frustration with many brands. It would be good to have actual foot measurements as a guide to size.”

“4star so far because I've ordered a waterproof boot and I'm not sure yet how waterproof but so far so good. If these boots really are waterproof during the next 6 months I shall be singing their praises loud and clear. Size 7 U.K. ( I'm a 6.5 U.K.) fits well. Purchase was straight forward, delivery good. Nice looking boot. Good price. Fingers crossed alls good. Happy so far.”

“Delivered next day as requested, good fit and comfortable, too early to say on durability, waterproofing etc as yet. The "free" accessories pack contained a shoe bag which they'd already sent me in a purchase I made a few years ago, so now have an extra one which I don't need.”
